PVE on PVP Server? Uh-Oh

Hmmmmmmm….. Great new patch, my dev friends. I love the new level, monsters, boss, event, etc. However, I can’t help but disagree with the recent changes to PVP. The idea of adding the PVE content to the PVP server was a good one, and I am sure several hard-core PVPers out there are rejoicing, but I cannot help wondering- does this not defeat the purpose of a PVE server? Having all of that content available on one server will likely make people wonder: Why bother with World 1? (Or, dare I say it, World 7?) Why would they put up with the repetitive log-on, log-off, log-on, etc if they could go lvl-up in HDOL, PVP for a bit, and then go lay the smack down on Rotgut, all without having to see that awful skull-figure at the logon page? Soon, lots of people will catch on, and I fear a clogging of the PVP server that will not allow people who actually want to PVP to even log on to their usually-empty domain? My suggestion: Leave the PVE content on the PVP server, but give it a catch. Perhaps only one set of dungeons (HDOL?) without end bosses, or maybe at a reduced xp rate. This would still be enough to entertain Wreker as he waits to crush another innocent lvl. 10, but would cause many people to stick to their home-worlds, avoiding the kind of population problems that have so ailed China. |

Let's see if it will get that much use... I, for one, wouldn't mind more competition in the pvp arenas. If you look at the setup and think a couple of steps forward, you can see that the pvp section will be cross-connected against all pve servers. I'll admit it's a guess as to when, but it's pretty obvious that that's the direction. |

True that. You're absolutely right, Rainger, that does seem to be the direction things are heading. However, I'm talking about the here and now. I doubt the changes you speak of will be implemented any time soon, as our devs are a very small team. What I suggest is a quick-fix- a relatively easy big of programming that will keep everyone happy. Granted, you could be right. Maybe I am just being the over-enthusiastic cultist guy they always gang up on in the movies....or maybe I just following FungusAmongUs's Premiere Guide to Becoming Famous on the Internet and am jumping on Number 2...hehe... |

Since the patch the most people I have seen on the pvp server is 45.Pvp is a small relatively tight community. It is great to not have to go to world 2 to farm.
