Some friendly advice to Devs about loot drops
#49920 - 03/04/08 06:43 PM

First off, great patch. New pvp maps, balzack, new rbs etc.

This is about loot drops though and what to me it seems is the decrease in frequency. I am not sure if it is actually a decrease in drops or ramping up of difficulty of the boss's we farm.
I am speaking not for everyone, but for a large majority. Once you get to 100 you have 3 choices. Farm, start a new character or pvp. Most people farm and some of us farm and pvp. We play the game for the thrill of the drop. There is nothing to do but fight and farm and if we have to grind for a few hours to secure a rb, We bore and will move to a game with more end game content.
I believe the high turnover in 100s would add credence to my argument. This game is great. It allows even us with families and jobs to participate in an mmo without feeling like we ever fall behind.
I farmed abby on insane today in a full group of 100s. My first 4 runs I got 1 purple from abby and treasure drops. Thats not acceptable compared to abby's glory days. Why the need to change was so much fun for many? In soloing Balzack over 25 times on normal I have yet to get a rainbow.
Just wanted to share my thoughts. With Warhammer and Conan dropping in the next two months I would someone might listen. The new changes are great but loot is where its at.
Sorry for the long rant.

Ending with Kudos to Stephen and the crew. If anyone who reads this please add a reply to show that am not alone. If I am alone, well..wont be the first time.

Thanks for the heads up on the part about new PvP maps, perhaps I should check them out (didn't read Patch details).

I agree completely. It's one of the main reasons I've started getting on less and less. I haven't farmed Abby since the patch, but before the patch it had been months, not just because of the difficulty but because of the loot as well.

I agree too. I hardly come on anymore because I just got so frustrated at the loot drops.....everything I could not use, nothing I could. plus not a lot for a 100 to do, cause I dislike pvp.

hit Abby for the first time on this build.... and he's had what done to him?

I spent a many day happily killing him after Bogey hit 100. It was senseless, random violence.... it was fun. The drops were so so...Bogey has hoared luck for finding Skittles... but it was FUN

59 pots on normal with Steele is not fun. I don't even want to mess with respecing Bogey back to his old build to try it.

Sigh.....

Some people have their own opinions, but prefer not to reveal them, or consider it unnecessary since people have already voiced them.

Try the snowmen sanctuary, I've been getting 4-5 purples from the boss on just normal.

CRAP!

I had a nice, long post about this subject saying how I agreed with jay and that loot is a very integral part of DR for a lot of people, and how not having loot and content has driven many of the "old" 100's away, and how.....

ARGH...and I had to leave my puter at work to go help some dang customers, then came back to click continue and it said "this form is no longer valid" and erased it ALL!!!

So, I guess you've all been saved a very nice, well-written and very agreeable post on this matter and Ill have to replace it with these few lines above and below....

I wholeheartedly agreed that loot is a very, very integral part of the game and retaining players and that I understand why sometimes "new" lvl 100's don't want to, and will not stay, just on promises of content and on friends alone. DR is growing, but lots of players grow faster than the game does, and I'm going to be here through it all if I can help it, but I understand why lots of other people WON'T - and one of the biggest reasons for that is rewards/loot and the inability to attain it without crazy difficulty or no-perceived changes and forward motion by the programmers about it.

My original post was SOOOOO much better! BAH! oh well....

GRATS UW. And good luck on the drops!!! Back on thread until last night I had thought that the Drop count was severly limited and then i was in an excellant group with a couple of friends and we had I dont know like 6 Rbs drop mainly for one person in particular but still there they were all the drops that i have been missing. I dont know if maybe we have just been unlucky but last night surely seemed liek the RB Fairy was very friendly..... Thanks guys for a great group we will have to do it again soon......

I would have to agree with ya Jay. Thats one of the reasons I havent been playing much lately. If I remember right Stephen said abby was going to be revamped since the fight was too hard. He was revamped I noticed, harder and drops less from what ive seen. Well maybe not harder but the pulling trick doesnt work anymore.

Abby's easier this patch than he was last patch. I can kill him on normal as a ranger with minimal difficulty now, whereas before I'd go through 50 pots to have no chance. While his drops are kind of lame, he's also a relatively quick kill. He's certainly quicker than either the queen or Balzack. As such, are his drops really out of line? If you kill him x number of times in the same span it would take to kill the Queen or Balzack, will you get the equivalent number of purples?

I do think loot tables across all bosses should be reviewed. After having killed Sissirat several times in the last few days on an alt, I would say that Sissirat drops far more purples than Abby does, on either Normal or Insane. That doesn't seem right. Now that non-members can use yellows and up, I'd rather see the high-end bosses drop nothing but yellows and up!

In regards to how Abby use to be, yes, his drops are severely lacking. It has been nice to be able to hit him up solo, as a ranger, on form, but it's very slow going to make anything. Which is the point of farming.

well i am a guy that is playing a lot and not expressing himself much on forums because each time i do i am unable to remain calm and i start saying bad things about the developpers when all in all they had me sticking to their game for already a quite long time so only this means that they are the best at what they are supposed to do
nonetheless i have to say that it is obvious that no newly turned level 100 characters will ever reach the level of power old players have gathered not only because we have farmed for a much longer time but mainly because the drops are gone...
i mean come on guys killing abby with five people in group at an insane level twenty times in a row and not getting any rainbows except for one of the group members is simply pathetic and even worst i think that it is simply ridiculous
what is giving you guys so many players is that your game looks like diablo on this simple concept : any mob can drop any item but what happens when even the strongest of them all will not give you anything ??? the game dies
i could name no less than 50 level hundred characters that have told me this game was their favourite ever and yet they are gone now forever were they due to live anyway ? well maybe i admit but chances are that if goods things had not been taken away from them they ll still be here for the most part

Pharque.. I had the no-rb issue 3 patches ago too, lasting for over 3 weeks with only 2 rb drops. Now when I farm abby I get the whole lot or nothing. The whole lot dropped 2 days ago, counting upto 9 rainbows in one and a half hour. Welcome to the world of randomity. (.. is that a word..?)

Exactly the issue I was complaining about before this last patch. There is something wrong with the "random" drop code. Either you are getting drops or you are not. Whatever changes to the code were made on this last patch did not help.

I farmed with my lvl 100 char a lot this past weekend since I had a couple of free days. I know I ran abby with several strong groups on insane for a total of over 8 hrs. I got 2 drops one day and zip the next. The group as a whole got very few drops as well. I did not count the number of runs but I would estimate no more that 1 minute between runs which translates to at least 480.

Right after the patch came out I played 1 1/2 hours and got 4 drops. That seems to be a bit more in line with what I would expect. Again I was with a strong group of 5 players and only one other person got 1 rb drop during the same time. The rest got zip.

I really like DR and I hope that something to address this issue will be done. For me I believe my farming days are over, just no point to it anymore. I will continue to play some running dungeons with my alts but not like I use to.

I think part of the problem for some players is the expectation to have rainbows drop all the time. They are supposed to be rare. I think in the past they dropped to much. If I can get 10 of super rare items in an afternoon are they really that rare?

I have been level 100 longer than many of the players that are consistently complaining. I don't play as much as I used to, mostly due to other things going on. But when I do play for a weekend I don't expect to get an inventory full of rainbows.

Just my opinion and I do expect to be flamed for this.

there that was it actualy I agree with you and was telling some people thaat the other night for a mythic uber rare item best in game they drop way to much the fact that as a lvl anything other then 100 you can have more then 1 or two on your char is amazing to me. I think that we as a whole have been innudated with RBs and they have become not something to aspire to have but a regular drop such as WP scrolls. Heck Skill books drop less frequently then RBs.

Pharque I tend not to post too much myself because I usually only post something when I have a complaint hehe.

Ripper the reason I said that about abby is because he does not seem to me to be any easier at all in a group. I have not tried him solo with my warrior truth to tell so I dont know if he is easier solo. He does seem to be just as hard in a group as he was prepatch although I cant pin down why. The pulling tactic helped a lot when we could use it but not everyone did.

The other people talking about drops do have a valid point. I got so tired of getting plate piercers and bile spitters that i started vendoring them after getting 4+ in the bank 95+. Before this patch I have seen someone get the exact same lvl bile spitter twice in an hour which i guess is a pretty extraordinary random chance considering how many rainbows there are. Especially coupled with the fact that I got one and someone else did as well in that same hour...... I logged the other night feeling like i pretty much wasted a few hours when i got another plate piercer as my first and only rainbow of the night after killing abby for a few hours straight.

We're not aware of any problems with the loot drops. Because of the random nature of drops in general it's just a tricky subject to evaluate all around. I'm a big fan of blackjack myself, but sometimes it feels like I get suck in these weird "bad luck" or "good luck" phases. The game isn't rigged, it's just funny that way sometimes But it's hard to say what is going on here exactly, so it's worth researching.

We're going to need more info from you guys:

*Your difficulty level
*Do you play for free or are you a paying member?
*What dungeons have you noticed this problem in?
*Are you solo? In a group?
*Your level
*Details on the exact problem you are seeing: what seems abnormal, what seems different? What made you think there is a problem to begin with? (be specific!)

Thanks (as always!)

There has been without a doubt a change in abby from a few patches ago. apparently there was a perceived problem with the way abby used to be.
Double rainbow drops were common with triple drops occurring at times also. Then abby was "adjusted". The fire rain crits, the movement of abby, the no knockdown etc. At this time the loot "appeared to be toned down also. Could have been that less kills=less loot. This has be proven not to be the case due to the new revisions to abby. I have farmed before on the new abby for 2 hours without a singel rainbow drop. this is on insane diff with a full group of 100s.
The true problem occurs in what abby used to be and what he is now. Anyone who played 6-9 months ago can tell you the experience is way different. It would not be a problem other than the fact that abby and pvp were and still are the end game content choice of 75% of the players.

I have been a paying member for almost a year.

Happens grouped and solo.

Level 100

Drops stink to put it politely.

The solution could be that you increase the rb drop rate for 100s but have more rainbows that use random generators so that they are truly uniques. That way we may get 2 drops of the same base rainbow that dont suit our build or play style and we will keep farming to get the uber gear that suits us.

Hmm, maybe i am unusual but once you hit 100 all you have left to do is farm and pvp. If you have a crappy drop rate, farming is no fun. It used to be fun. When abby was "fixed" I saw the biggest exodus of 100s I have seen in my almost 1 year in this game. Coincidence, I say not.

Insane difficulty
Member
Mainly noticed it with Abby
Full Group all members on member server
All lvl 100

I have noticed this problem before about the loot drops and truth to tell its kind of a running joke with quite a few of the lvl 100s. Ran Abby last night for about an hour or two and got 3 rainbows back to back on the first three runs. After those three not a thing and I think only one person ever got another rb. I know its all luck of the draw and random but it just doesnt seem that way. As a fighter I would kind of expect at least 1/3 of the time to get fighter rainbows but its more like 1 out of 10. Truthfully I have never even had a lvl 100 1h weapon drop that I remember. I have some but they where all either given to me or traded for.

Just for giggles I logged on my alt on another computer to check what rainbows are in the bank since I have never sold any on that char although I have given a few away. I have at lvl 42 my alt (usually fighting in HDoL stage 3 lower once I hit 25 and with help from a lvl 100) from lvl 1 up has gotten 6 fighter rainbows, 5 ranger rbs, and 10 mage rbs. So fighter and ranger rainbows are about even on my alt and mage rbs i have gotten about as many as fighter and mage rainbows put together. Now this could be just a luck of the draw thing on my alt. I dont know for sure just trying to get yall some more info.

There may have been confusion as to what I was saying. I was talking about Rbs in general dropping not just level 100 rbs. With the rainbow drop that I currently see yes both my chars are only in there 40s but between them I have 10+ Rbs that are useable if not my level and more in the bank that I’m waiting to use.
That is way to many Rbs for one char to have at any given time if they are not level 100. To help end game 100’s keep playing they should be aspiring to get full Rb gear not having it there whole way up. What is the point of continuing to play if there’s nothing to play for? To solve this I would reduce the RB count even more although it would be hard on the level 100’s now it would keep the people that are going to be there soon something to play for.

Now I farm and farm and farm if I get a Rb cool if not that’s cool too. But the RBs are not what I play for heck it’s nice to see them but I play for the community.

From the level 100's point of view, you are a very very small minority. That doesnt make your opinion any less valid just far from popular. The 100s who were around when I started are all but gone. The ones around when I hit 100, maybe 15% of them left. This is a huge problem for a mmo.

Believe me when I tell you, loot drops affect subscription rates. I like the community, I like the pvp, but we are all after loot. They are working hard and adding great features. That is all good.

The whole point of my initial post is...loot has been scaled back from 6-9 months ago. It is causing people to have less fun. These are the facts based on the people I have grouped with(random) over the last few months time. We can debate the merits until the cows come home. I know for a fact that 100s are leaving the game at a steady rate.

I farmed abby tonight on insane, full group, fast group..2 hours. I got 0 rainbows. That just isnt fun, sorry.

I hear what you're saying jay, and that's why I posted before. I don't want to see members go, and I also agree that me and Dark are probably the minority of the community when it comes to why we stay and play (i.e. the community AND loot/playing - but a large majority the comraderie).

Well, at least Crickette has chimed in - that shows concern. Maybe we can all figure this out. Even if we all dn't get along all the time or even agree on anything - we still NEED all of us to have a "community" within which to play!

Lev 72, free player. At least 50% of my experience from lev 25-55 came from group farming bosses (rotty mostly) on insane. But I can count all the rb drops I've ever had on two hands.

I started the game after build 100 was implemented, which apparently included all the unpleasant "fixes", so I figured that was about normal if perhaps a little unfortunate. But according to this thread, a level 25 player has had more than double my rb drops, even though I am nearly triple his level.

Is this what a free player should expect?

Jay is right as I am lvl 100 as well and farmed abby the past few days in a group of 100s on insane for hours on end. The rb 'rate' is terrible now, in about 30 hours of farming total I think I have seen 6 skittles. In the past before they revamped abby in that same span you would see triple that if not more.

I also agree with Joe to some degree as well. Maybe there could be a happy medium but as it stands right now, its torture to farm for those t3 gear. I rather farm gold at new boss or raspy, then go hunt down kc sally and rb sam. It will only be t1 gear but sure beats spending hours on end farming for little in return.

For all those saying it is random and we are just having bad luck, I disagree with that. Back in the day if you spent 4-6 hours in a day farming abby you would get I would say a rbw an hour on average. One very good t3 rbw a day. Now you lucky to see one in 3 days in the same amount of hours. Not all bosses are like this though, in 3 hours of farming rotgut with a group on insane, we have seen 20ish rbws. The next day with the same group at rotgut we got similar results. On my 17 ranger doing rattletooth with a group on insane we got even more skittles then rotgut.

I played this morning and I wont even log on my 100 anymore cause like Jaysherman said it is not that much fun. I do not pvp but am the type of person that wants the best gear possible. So in short, my alts now will not be collecting dust anymore like they have for 2 months and now my lvl 100 will be taking there place collecting dust.

Being a free player does not (as far as we have been led to know...) effect your drop rate in any way. It only effects which % of items you can use, not how many and which typer of items drop for you in general.

And about someone being 25 levels lower than you and having more rbws...
I think it matters more about how much effort you want to put into getting said "random" drops (i.e. rbws). I think you were referring to Dark and his rbws, but I'm not very far off from his dedication to farm. Swiper is level 41 now, and I have 7 rbws equipped presently from various levels, but I've gotten AT LEAST 40 on my own. BUT, that came from farming Sissirat 180 times, SC probably at least 300 times, Veregrim 100, and now Rotty a good almost 100 and way more to come. So, it's not that we're getting more rbws than you on a regular basis (or anyone else for that matter), we're just neurotically obsessive about getting them, lol... There are, and I have a couple of friends, that are in their lvl 40-50 range and they haven't gotten a rbw yet. They don't want one given to them either as they want to "earn" their first one - and that's cool, but they also don't want/like to farm just to get them. They just play normally and hope for the drop.

I reread what dark said and I agree for low and mid levels the rbw drop rate is very good for the players. However, the OP was about lvl 100s and their drop rate or lack of.

**** Not trying to start an arguemnt******

I'm currious if the new 100's feel the same way that the loot percentage dropped off once they reached 100.

Or if its more same loot but nothing else to look forward to and getting frustrated not feeling like your accomplishing anything.

If you believe the loot drops are significantly lower at 100 then they were at 99 then there may be soemthing the devs can check into.

if its more the fact of your board and not getting what you want then we need to Brain storm on what we can do to lift your spirits how the game can keep you other then just increasing loot drops ultimately this will still bore you. Since you will have all the gear you could ever want even faster.

I just did a bunch of quick Abby runs - here are the results:

*Formidable
*Paid - I was leader
*None
*Grouped - all 100s, 1 non-member
*100
*Didn't have any problems - ran Abby several times - got 5 rainbows and lots of purples in about an hour

Over the hour we had as few as 3 members, as many as 5 as folks rotated in and out. I was the leader the entire time. All participants were 100.

New results

*Normal
*Paid
*None
*Solo
*100
*Ran Abby 10 times - received:

  • 19 Yellows
  • 11 Purples
  • 0 Rainbows
  • 0 KCs

For each fight on Normal difficulty, I received 3 items. Please note, I do not count chest loot for the purposes of tallying Abby's drops. I only count those items which Abby drops (and none for his minions, since they don't drop loot).

For the sake of comparison, I also ran Sissirat 10 times:

*Normal
*Free
*None
*Solo
*15
*Ran Sissirat 10 times - received:

  • 24 Yellows
  • 9 Purples
  • 0 Rainbows
  • 0 KCs

For each fight on Normal difficulty, I received 3 or 4 items. Please note, I do not count chest loot for the purposes of tallying Sissi's drops (I did actually get a Rainbow from one of his chests, btw). I only count those items which Sissirat drops.

Conclusion:

  • loot drops from the bosses alone were about the same.
  • I did get more drops total from Sissirat, which bothered me a little bit.
  • All of the other mobs in Sissirat's lair have a chance of dropping loot, too, whereas the minions in Cleft of the Searing Knight do not. This also means more loot for the encounter, in general, and a better chance to find purples and rainbows.
  • Considering that levels 90+ are supposed to have a better RB drop rate (and should have a better purple drop rate, even if they don't currently), I can see why Abby's drops are so frustrating, at least if one is soloing Abby.
At minimum, I'd recommend adding loot to Abby's minions. I'd also consider upping the loot drops, in general, for Abby to at least one or two more items per solo kill. Lastly, it might be a good idea to double-check the code that gives increased chances of RBs (and purples, please) for characters over level 90. Those things might make the encounter a little more worthwhile.

All that being said, I prefer farming Balzack at 100. It's a much longer encounter, but tons of loot drops and it's a fun challenge.

Update - I just killed Abby on Normal and received 4 items, so it appears that either 3 (more common) or 4 items drop/Abby kill.

I'm gonna add in some data points too from the Abby group I was in last night.

Boss Encounter: Abbadon

Group Size- 2-5 all 100's except one lvl 99. (4 Melee toons and one wee little Mage, yours truly)

Difficulty - as 2,3, 4 set to Formidable, 5 went to Extreme. We were mostly going for speed over loot quantity and could easily reset the encounter in 2 minutes or less.

Session length - 60-90 minutes, at least 25 runs.

Mythics for the group - 6

Hard to say if that's good or bad because I was never one to farm Abbadon solo and only every so often in a group.

I would lie to revisit my original idea. The patch that changed abby also changed the drop rate. Now abby has been "fixed" and his damage and degree of difficulty is more in line with the rest of the game but the rainbow drop rate still stinks IN COMPARISON to what he once was.

For the people who are posting, thank you. Could we also get some more input from people who farmed alot before abby was originally patched.

Is it POSSIBLE that Abby's drop rate was BROKEN prior to the patch. It sounds like Abby has been brought in line with the rest of the game. I guess this may suck for those that only want rainbows on every run, but I guess from experience if you piss and moan enough it will be changed (seems to be how PVP is changed).

I do not, repeat do not, expect a rainbow drop every run. Nor have I ever stated that, and I don't believe anyone else in this post has either. The point of the OP (which because of who it was, I believe it colors some people's judgment's a little too much) was that the drop rate had changed drastically. I noted changes months ago, to myself, and probably in groups at the time, that it seemed as though something had changed. Yes, I do expect to get more rainbows than lower levels, mostly because I am pretty sure that I farm more than they have and/or do currently. Nevermind that the best time to have rainbows is at level 100, as you don't outgrow them, therefore you can potentially use them longer or those that you trade/give them to can as well.

Anyway, my options currently and have been for several months (as a level 100) are to farm or pvp, while I wait for more content to be added that more pertains to my higher level character. Yes, I could start (and have) a new character, but that is beside the point. I played one character (which use to be the only option) all the way to the highest level currently available. I have run every dungeon (the new one slightly less, of course) more times than I can count, farmed and I even tried PvP and found I liked it even when I didn't think I would. I did all this to patiently await more things for me to do. I wait, and have waited because I like the game and want to continue to play. Obviously I stay for more than just rainbows (since it's been months since I noticed the first change), or any weapon really, it's for the community too, but as time goes on and things I enjoyed about the game change (such as the previous drop rate) it does make it harder to stay.

Jay is not requesting rainbow drops every kill or even every other kill. Jay is merely suggesting that level 100s need more (or some) value for time spent farming. As LadyV stated, even under ideal circumstances Abby has NEVER dropped rainbows every kill.

Today, many level 100s see only diminishing returns for their time and efforts. This leads to either a reduction in playing time or outright departure from the game. Quite simply until there is a better time vs. gain ratio level 100s will continue to depart the game. This isn't an attack on the game or the devs; it is just the reality of many current and former players.

Wow, thanks for adding your insight to this thread. Too bad its an attempt to start a flaming session. Arent these the kinds of things hypocrites like you complain about on your "world". Please start your own thread if you wish to troll.

You also seem to ignore the fact that people are leaving the game due to the drop rate. Whether or not you feel it may have been broken in the past. No idea what your business background is but long term players (customers) leaving any mmo(or business) at the rate they are is not good. This game has so far relied heavily on word of mouth marketing. The emphasis of the devs should be to make the majority of high level players happy if it is something as simple as returning something to the way it was.

Stephen and his team have done a great job communicating and implementing changes when they feel it benefits the game and the player base. This thread is an attempt to gather the views of other long term high level players on what I have experienced and heard multiple other players( friends and not) complain about.

Jay,

I am going to ahve to disagree with you again.....I think the loot drops are where they need to be.......
I remember what theyused to be like .I started in June, and I rmeembe what an event a rainbow was then to get and find. now there are many ways to get rainbows if that is your desire. We have RB Sam and RB Salley, and more players which means more chjances to be gifted with rbs as well.
The drop rates right now are fine for all levels as they are basically fair.the stats we ahve seen support that.

Now is there a percived difference for you.probably since you are c0omplaining about it. But I will disagree that loot drops is why 100 levels are leaving this game. Content yes taht sia reason, and for many it is simply that they ahve beaten a game with no new challenges..That is why most leave.

Jay I know you pvp , and that enw and beter loot is the mantra for ebing successfull there...but for those of us who dont pvp getting rbs isnt why we stayt. Heck the rb market is so flooded right now that often you cant even give an rb away............why on earth do you want to change it to anything that even more rbs would enter the game?

As a sidenote to the what the OP posted about, I would prefer that rb sally and sam were never introduced and gameplay went back to how it was before them. I believe they are the reason the world is so flooded with rainbows (although it's a toss up whether Sally will have anything decent or if Sam gives you anything decent and if he doesn't, you can't share because it's soulbound) and I think they detract from gameplay as a whole.

I PvP as well, though not nearly as much as some, but that is not the reason why I want the drop rate changed back. It's because I have a lot of decent ranger gear and would like to collect for the other classes as well to broaden my experience in the game, in mostly pve I might add. However, it is very tough to find the gear I would like to try. Plus when I'm in a group, and say a mage rainbow item drops and the group contains 1 or 2 mages, I wouldn't ask for the said item unless neither of the mages wanted them. Because they already are mages and have worked on their builds and I wouldn't take away from their efforts. So that makes it harder for me. See, I'm polite and I'm not going to beg for something either, or take away from someone who's going to get to use it before me. When the drops rate were like they were before, the items were passed along more freely as their was a good chance on getting plenty of an item. I don't find it fun to spend hours on end searching for rainbow sally in the hopes she may have something I want or that sam might by chance give me an item usable to me. I would rather kill abby in a group (or solo), chat (plus, the way Abby use to be, you could actually chat amongst the group more) and have fun and see what we get. Plus, I for one, use to pass on to the world anything that I or the group didn't want immediately after each run, which a lot of times was really good gear (I did this as well with purples, by leaving them by the obelisk for anyone to pick up). So I passed along our efforts as well. Which I think promotes good gamesmanship as well as good community.

I would have to agree that the loot drops appear to be where they need to be. While they may be somewhat lower than desired, a challenging game may be better than one too easy.
There are a lot of alternatives to drops. As previously noted, there are RB Sally hunts and RB Sam hunts.

Once again 2 hours with a group of 3 on form. and got 1 rbw. The rbw drop for low lvls is fine where it is, and I personally think they did something to abby so lvl 100s farm the new boss more.

I personally don't like doing the new boss cause perhaps I am lazy and that is alot of running around to do just to get to a boss. I rather take 10 steps, tele and be in smacking range of abby.

Maybe, I am bad luck for the group as in 15 hours total I have only seen 7-9 rbws drop for the group, excluding the chests.

Like LadyV has stated the reason she still plays is mostly to chat and play with friends. That goes for me too. Also, like Jaysherman stated alot of lvl 100s leave the game and I have to agree with him on that too.

Since I do not pvp in this game I will not comment on that too much. I have pvped before in other games and gear for pvp is critical. So in retrospec I see lvls lower then 60 having a much much easier time farming for gear to suit their needs.

I usually do not post alot on forums as I am much more of a reader. Lately it seems there is less and less activity on the forums. Maybe its me but it seemed like there was alot more 6 months ago with alot better dicussions. Where did all the forum posters go?
