Its Naprox the Dark Assassin, well I should be pretty soon.. Im Level 49. blah even tho demosthenez is still showing me as Level 48, Athletic Seasoned Arcane Rogue.

I picked up some crit gear & DAMN!!!! I have to say I'm sure as heck liking it. My Atk Rtg:8412 & Weapon DPS:2418

So I ask you the many Rangers out there: is being a crit/poison ranger plausable or should I either go with one or the other? cuz I do use Nox, & toxic talent plus other elemental damage spell adds.

I haven't really tried the poison ranger build. I have no intelligence...err, uh, I have no int allocated to my character's stats.

I still use gaseous blast to take out the fodder,a little poison shot to drain the big guys a little faster, and penetration for its knockdown, but that's about it.

The problem with hybrid builds is that you're taking effectiveness from one build to give some to another. This is especially true (as a crit/poison ranger) if you're fighting mobs with a lot of poison resist.

What it comes down to, though, is what do you prefer? If you have fun dumping arrows into monsters while rotting them from the inside with poison, then I say go for it, but if you're looking for sheer efficiency I would suggest a pure build.

ah... k thats the missing element. I've never been fully one or the other + I dont have the int for full Poison, the Demon sniper Does help alot for mana steal.

Tho I find if I want to go through a dungeon fast & keep going, I fall back on Nox & Gas.. only if Frency is in cool down mode.

heck im still a youngen still, so I still have time to goof off some & find what bests suits me.

If you're looking for +int as a poison ranger I would suggest trying a Bilespitter instead of the Demon Sniper. Big +int bonus and +poison damage instead of shadow.

ponders... Im not a true Poison ranger, & with the elemental damage adds & just using Nox to weaken the mobs, I really don't need int. what the Demon sniper does do for me ( when frency is in cool down mode) it steals mana so I can Nox (with added elemental damage poison, Fire, ice, Shadow, Divine what have you) & alow me to cast other high mana spells to take them out so I can move on to the next group with Frency ready to cut them down.

Im really enjoying the crit/Poison/mage (er yeah mage) set up..

i would go with whatever is most effective to whatever your fighting hybrid stuff is bleh
