I've been running in HDOL together with my alt, and I've noticed that some of the loot does not appear (graphically).

I can mouse over the ground, and I'll sometimes find stuff. I'm afraid this is causing me to miss loot, and I especially don't want to miss any rb drops.

If they do not appear graphically, you can always press Alt to show your own loot or Z to show all the loot (also from other people), so you dont miss anything right? Or do you mean they dop not appear when pressing Alt?

I've had issues, periodically, where my loot doesn't physically appear until I rotate my camera (I'm talking about normal drops, too - not huge boss drops that extend off the screen). Suddenly, there it is! It's been a while (months) since I've experienced it, though.

OK, I should have explained it better: I know the "show loot" settings. What is happening is that the loot doesn't appear on the ground (and the item name doesn't show up when I press "alt" or "z"), but I know it's there because I can mouse over it and pick it up.

It sounds like you know what I'm talking about Ripper. I have tried turning the camera, mousing over the whole ground, and running back and forth over the area. Sometimes these methods "seem" to work, but it's not reliable.

I have the same invisible loot problem on a laptop running an ATI mobility chip set. It happens when the laptop's character isnt in range of the loot when it drops. I have to stand around and be patient for up to 2 minutes for the loot to be appear. If the same character on the same laptop is in range of the loot when it drops, then I have no issues.

Mess - do you have an ATI card? I normally play on my laptop, which has an NVidia GO 7900GS, but I have an ATI X300 in my low-end desktop. I'll try to check that one out later and see if the problem occurs on that machine.

I think Feyn is right. I also started noticing that my alt wasn't getting exp some of the time, and I found out he has to be within a certain radius- this also took care of the loot problem.
