DR crashes when I group with somone
#49225 - 02/27/08 02:22 AM

I have been playing Dungeon Runners for a few days now. I played through the game leveling my character up to level 16 by myself and never grouped with another player once. The game worked perfect until I tried to group with another player for the first time today.
When I join a group or someone else joins my group my game becomes extremely choppy and the sound begins to skip.

My operating system is Windows XP Professional with service pack 2
Processor is an Intel Celeron D 352+
Graphics card is a Sapphire 512mb 128-bit Radeon x1650 series
Motherboad is an ASUS P5B-VM
Soundcard is on board the P5B-VM
2 gigs of ddr2 ram

Also, my drivers are up to date and I tried editing the config file as the sticky post suggests.

If I had to guess, I'd say it was due to a combo of your sound/drivers in relation to voice chat, which is only active in groups. Try going into your sound options in-game and turning voice chat sound down to zero and making sure it's set to button press, not auto.

I had a total shutdown when joining a group and did the empty catch, defrag, clean files thing, which worked.

I didn't know about the voice option. I'll check that next time.

I tried turning my voice chat sound all the way down (1 is the lowest) and I still crashed.

Amazon, could you explain how to do the "empty catch, defrag, clean files" or show me another web page that will explain it?
