Hmmm...at level 15 you should be able to solo Sisserat on Extreme or even Insane, provided you can afford the potions. Provide your toon's name and I'm sure some of the forumers here will look at your build and can give you pointers as to why you may not be as effective as you could be. -------------------- um...where did I put that portable hole? |

Good words of wisdom there from all. I'm pretty new and didn't joint till got 3 char. to like lvl 15-20. But then found the porting thru ads was my biggest drawback, so I joined, yea! Now life is good, quests are quicker and once past lvl 20 things started happening for me, I can solo most of the 1st five bosses on good days, not alwasy tho. And I agree with all said above about looting and farming, although u have to tweak it all to what ur doing at the momment. Quick play is prefered in groups it seems, so the filtering and minimizing the looting to high value keeps ur group zooming along and smiling. If ur still into taking home as much as possible, leave everything in the bank(quest items too) and max. ur carring capacity. then also u'll get more quest item drops and can double up on aquiring quest item(turn them in more then once on the spot, Tecliss' tip #3). And unless ur w/ good friends or peeps that aren't about running thru the worlds asap it's tough to keep up trying to do any evaluating of the gear ur getting for selling or to use, not to mention trading/talking/reading/picking up coin. One thing I can say with confidence is, fighting solo vs. in groups requires diff. techniques and strategies. With your own charater, try it, change it up, then do it again and remember: dying doesn't hurt that much, ha. You learn twice as much from a mistake then if you succeed the 1st time, so by those std.s I'm almost know every way to die, only one way left to learn: how to live, . |

Buy the ranger poison resist skill and use it when you fight Sissirat. This'll make a huge difference. |

Just remember this as well, mages are the worst of the 3 classes to solo boses. Find yourself a fighter or ranger friend and goto town at those early lvls. I do know that mages can solo sissi or snow chief, but you spend too much on pots for little reward. Best way a mage can get money is in a group for a boss. |

Back on topic and I’m sure that this has been said as well just wanted to put it in this thread. While playing D2 there was a great feature. That I wouldn’t know what to do without and that was the belt pouch for Pots. I don’t necessarily want more space on char for them would be nice but not necessary, what I would like though is some spots inventory that is just for pots I get annoyed when I try and buy pots and they go all over or when I use a bunch trying to farm a boss or even just grinding and not using waypoints often, and the gear goes where I normally put my pots. Anyone have any ideas how to stop this or suggestions to as what you do. |

That's a good point about mages, they're suck pots(potions) up. Or any char that uses magic whatever(i really like that aspect, mix and match). I've recognized that tweaking gear for what u want in a char is important to performance. I've noticed that as my char. grows and aquires new skills, my pot usage has changed from red to blue, and with the right gear one can boost any char # u want/need buy selecting ur gear appropreatly, even health/mana, thereby reducing ur pot usage again. But i think this is still incomplete unless u match ur skills/battle plan against ur foe. May all ur quests end in completness, . |

I'm actually not married to the Mage at all -- I just read somewhere that it was easier to level up as a Mage. Actually, with all the ranger gear that keeps dropping maybe I should switch over? =) Anyway here's my guy (Candel): Candel |
