Voicechat auto-level
#47704 - 02/13/08 08:52 AM |
Everytime we use the voicechat it's impossible to hear what people say. Only way to use it is if everyone in the group turn of the music and put the gamesounds down to 1. So I had a thought: How about making an option in the Sound-settings menu that adds the function for lowering the sound to above mentioned levels whenever someone sends a voicemessage in the Group? -------------------- May The Rainbow Drops As Cows From The Sky Dungeon Runners Sverige - Swedish Fansite |

hi all, new memb here and i've been tweakng my speakers and mic to try it out. 1st 3 times was not very good, hearing or speaking. And it's not always convienant to have other players help u sort it out in the middle of campain. but i'm also some what confused on adjusting the lvls of various sound settings. I have found that one probobaly needs a newer mic and some compatible sys software that is recognizing the mic u have, and it's adjusted(calibrated) by the software for voice. I noticed too that the speakers need to be adjusted and then also in game adjustments. I believe that maybe low voice volume may be from senders mic not good at boosting voice(filtering for voice), just a guess, but i tink all things need to be properly adjusted. A seperate voice volume might be good, should be do-able, it'a a seperate channel rigth? older systems, not sure how much that plays a part, mine is so new i don't even know all the stuff it does yet, lol. looking forward to seeing some more comments, HiMAC, LoMAC and SheMAC, HA. ![]() |

I haven't tried the ingame voice chat for the simple fact that I generally don't group enough to warrant messing with. To show my age the last game chat I used was Roger-Wilco and it worked rather well:) Gary |

I figured out the problem while playing Halo. If sound is too soft, then double click on the volume control and make sure everything is on max. Try different speakers. No idea on mic part so sry. But I do know there is a program for loudness of sound to mic in a program. Wanna no something very [censored] about the mics? During Halo, if your pwning noobs, then the other players will bs at u. If u suck then they will bs at u too. -------------------- The above is my thinking . WTH does Halo have to do with DR....or how well your in game chat equipment does/does not work in DR... Seems like the only thing I learned from that post is that I wouldn't like the players who play Halo pvp online... |

Quote: It has nothing to do with my computer settings, I've tried VoiceChat on both a computer runnings Vista and one running XP, both with differend hardware. Also tried several different settings for the sound. No, it is the volume within Dungeon Runners who's the problem, wich an autolevel function easily would fix. And as I said, they could put a option for turning autolevel on or of in the settings for sound for those who don't want the game- and musicvolumes to lower while anyone speaks. And I agree with Nec, there is loads of posts who doesn't really say anything around this forum. Feels like many is posting just for the fun of it, to get higher post counts. Stick to the subject please. -------------------- May The Rainbow Drops As Cows From The Sky Dungeon Runners Sverige - Swedish Fansite |
