Hey folks! just as the subject says.
I been a 20/50 crit/poison ranger. I find I like taking the
Mobs out rather than doing the poison poison dance. right now Im checking out the Assassin set up. so I cant give any feed back on that yet. Besides thats a different subject all together.

Goofing off I find that the Poison Ranger is (with my stat set up) was not cutting it + I was on insane mode. so that could be the reason why Im dying so much =P

though if I did a stinging ranger mix it seem a lot better, just need better gear so im saving up KC's to find Sam.

Side note:I didnt know you can be a ranger with Melee weapons?? roflmas! so My Fighter Skudavik is going to test that out.

Your title changes depending on the skills you have active in your bar and what your stats are...and unless the item changes a specific stat enough to change its reflection on the "name" of the kind of character you are - then a weapon doesn't do anything to your name.....

If I take all my skills off of my bar and all my gear off besides a weapon, I'm "monster chow" or "monster bait" or whateever the hell it is - it doesnt matter if I have The Gavel on or Demonsniper.

Do you even play this game Weedhead? I feel like such an a** this week picking on you but man...it is very difficult to hold back when you give such constant bad advice.

Skills that you are severely lacking

yeah I know the title changes with differnt skills.

right now Im getting my rear handed to me by Vergrim.. I finally gotten his body guards. Though Vergrim is a tough cookie to kill.. think I need a better weapon.

I used a fricken fast xbow on the guards when it comes to Vergrim ( I keep stomping or lightening the spawn) but I just havnt gotten the timing time to nail Him with a shot.

+ the amount of Damage was too low to see any good with the xbow so Im trying a shotgun... Grrr too frecken slow to be any good.. so Im still playing around with Skills & gear to beat him

Okay that ends my Rant..

Your problem with Veregrim is doing ANYTHING to the guards/fire whiskers. As soon as you hit them they go into their "explode" mode, which will cause you damage and almost always knock you down if you dont have stun resist. So DON't use AOE attacks on Veregrim - just focus on hitting him only. OR, if you do feel the need to rid yourself of the whiskers, AOE, then stomp them away so they dont hit you.

The other problem, is that Veregrim causes both fire and divine dmg, but his physical attack (when it connects) one-hits for 5k dmg. If you're not anywhere near that much HP (which youre probably not), it will be difficult to stick with him toe to toe. He's a hard boss altogether, so don't feel bad about having trouble with him. He's the "mini-abby" as far as I'm concerned.

Oh yeah, almost forgot - you almost "need" thickheadedness against all the baddies there in his lair - they all cause knockdown (his two gaurds, the whiskers, and himself). SO: kill the two champs first, then direct attack veregrim as much as possible. Divine and fire resist (save your divine until you're faced with Veregrim himself, that three-shot bolt attack is divine bolts) and thickheadedness. Have lots of pots handy, because if you die youll need to try to get back to him uber fast - he seems to heal faster than any other boss too, lol.

If you need help and you're on w7. Look me up (lvl 31 fighter Swiper below) or ask someone there in world chat, there's lots of people would be willing to help you most of the time. Good luck, hope that helps some.

hahahaha Cool Cool. I check it out, Though last night I beat SOB! the Guards were easy, Vergrim killed me 3 times.
I just stayed on him, kept moving around the spawns, & I was about to leave.. & I noticed he was almost dead. I said No sheep dip!! & Kept Radip Fire on him.

I used divine armor, & that divine passive & the buff,
wasnt taking much damage. Even with the 5k attack it was around 2k per hit.

I'll check out the info on how to do Vergrim on insane.

Well well, I wasted a ton of Money goofing off as a Fighter. Lame.. Yeah yeah I know. It wasnt as much fun as setting up my ranger without poison & just making him a full rapid shooter. Love seeing the mobs drop before they get to me. Very high Agi (Looking fer Crit gear, tho most I've been finding is crap & doesnt fit a nice ranger set up most was Fighter, & I've just gotten frustrated so I went to play my two Meleer & melee-caster their Low level so its fun =]

last night while I was grinding it out, I picked up some High resiste gear. so Im carring extra gear so I can just switch from radip to pit shooter, Mob ganging banging, & using The AoE, & PbAoe with Lightening, does good damage.
Shadowy Merc had been fun. do you take reduced damage/resisted hits? It seemed like it was.

Oh yeah! I think I've gotten a few people from a Mud I played to check out the game, So I'll be having to help get them started, * sell the game to them * =] hopfully they'll get hooked..

That's because hell is not a swear. Neither is damn, dammit, godammit (yes, that's the word), or a bunch of others. Although, my kid's teacher did call home here the other day to say that my daughter said "What the hell?" instead of "What the heck?" and then she had to spend 2 hours in detention....I was pretty pissed. What the hell is THAT crap about?! lol

Man I have 0 Divine resiste had to buy the passive Divine ward. so that messes up the other resists, though im killing Ice/Divine mobs now.. the funnist thing was, when I 1st tried the Mal-Maze I was wondering why the hell are they killing me so freaking fast what the hell?? "WTH"!!

No no it was not that my Divine resist was 0...
turns out I had way of Roo instead of trigger Happy & I was using a shotgun at the time too..

I was like "What a DUMB SOB... DAMNIT!!!" After that I also added the + Dark/fire to do more damage =]

Wow level 44 inside Shadow Embrace has been fairly full of fun thoI got there at 43rd level when the Mobs were Oj..

Im running with an Iron Shoty, all High Agi gear, still using a level 34 boots with +17 Agi, my resists arent as high for the area as I would like though I went from just getting 43rd level to 44 which was very nice, Trying to build up Cash for Rb's to replace my gear thats old, & doesnt have enough resists.

Iam Carrying a fast +fire Crossbow it has a higher mini though the Shotgun does get the Job done in less shots.. I so want 45 level so I can get trigger frency with 65% speed.. =] that would make the area a bit easier.

Oh hey. I found sally with RB's but they were even close to the level of Agi my yellow gear has.. =[ wasnt going to waste money on something that I'd have to scramble to fixs.
I've done that for 38 to 41 till I gotten the set up that seems to work.

In some specific cases, yellows can be better suited to your needs, but I hope you aren't looking solely at agl. A lot of ranger rbs have additional benefits like +critical, higher +ranged/ +piercing/ +slashing damage, etc.

Oh yeah, I learnt the hard way (about just focusing on Agi)

due to my low Mana ( & the elemental damage adds I pop off Im looking for higher Agi/Int so I keep using those)

with Poison, Cold/Fire/Divine/Shadow cast able Add damage I seem to be going through Mobs a hell of alot faster, with less gang banging.. I've been gunning them down with 2000 + damage with 3 different elements =] thats alot of mana with level 5's or 3rd level check the Getsome!! to see what im using.
