To everyone who plays the Straight Fighter no other class skills. Can you give me any tips as to what to buy and what not to buy Should I buy Soul Rend or (Holly Gosh?? sorry forgot name) Cleave or Butcher?? and also do certain weapons work best with the skills 2hand for cleave vs 1 hand??? Making the best char is always existing out of skills from all classes, why should you only use fighter skills and no other skills? Doesnt makes benefit, still if using the 3 classes skills it makes you better and stronger. |

I play a "pure" fighter for the most part, but I do have all my resist buffs at their max and on my bar (saves unneccessary dhp loss and blocks a lot of attacks all together). The only other skill I have that's not "pure" is acidic blight from ranger trainer to reduce mob def value (it makes a BIG difference that is noticeable). If you didnt want to use acidic blight then you could use unnerving shout, but I dont think it is as effective overall. I always have retribution, 1h/2h swivel depending on what weap Im gonna use and always rebuff it as soon as it pops, Rend on LM and then EITHER cleave on RM (when I have 2h equip) or Butcher on RM with 2 1h (to knock down champs/heros). I also use divine buff to simply raise my dps with rend, and when I get it, awesome cleavage(since it has a group effect then and causes more dmg). I will also prob get mad melee mastery next level and put it in and out of my bar as needed for grinding in the dungeon, or fighting a boss (makes big diff in hp). Hope that helps. I dont use holy roller usually bc i find it more effective to run into a mob and toss acidic blight, rather than hit ONE guy and knock him down (I can do that with butcher). I also only use freaky fast axes/blades since I seem to get the best +dps armour and stuff for slashing, so my speeds are both around .4 when I dual wield. IMO fear of gosh is useless, but others have found good use for it at times. I like to find a blend of skills that works great for me in a routine (i.e. find mob, hit #2, 3, 4, 5 to put up buffs while running in mob, throw AB on #1, then chop away. Toss back one of each pot if needed, rinse, repeat. My only other advice is to always make sure your skills are up to the highest lvl you can currently have them at. Every time you lvl, pop back to town asap to sell, but also go directly to your trainer and upgrade whatever skills youre using - makes a big diff since monsters "grow" as you do. That's all your schoolin' from me for now, and IM sure lots of fighters will help you out in the next few days. Good luck - best advice is to find your "flow" and what you like and get good at it, then stick to it and roll up the levels. It wont take long. -------------------- "Yorn desh born, der ritt de gitt der gue, Orn desh, dee born desh, de umn bork! bork! bork!" - my wife fell in love with me bc of the swedish chef...go figure lol.
