#45946 - 01/31/08 07:12 PM

so ive decided to become a critical ranger since it seems to be the best build for bosses and such. can u guys help me? im lvl 19 and so far ive put every point in agility, therefore i have 100 agi atm, do i need to fix anything?

any suggestions on weapons, gear, fighting style, will be greatly appreciated..

Check out this thread. It has several links to build help pages. The Townstons, I know, has one for critical rangers.

but those weapons/gear that give crit-hit chance, ive only seen one and im already lvl 20. sadly, i sold it

but is there like a specific dungeon/monster than drop those items that give crit-hit chance? if not, any suggestions?

To the best of my knowledge all drops are random. There have been points in the game thus far were I could almost swear that certain loot was more prevalent, but that is not the case.

As for how to actually get the gear, you may have a better chance trading for items.

The gear in that guide are examples. You don't actually have to HAVE those pieces to be effective. Go for +crit, +range dmg, +range speed, +agi, +piercing/+slashing depending on what kind of weapon. And get a fast bow/gun. Everything else is pretty much gravy...lots of gear, not just rainbows have those stats.

+crit stuff is common. Just go kill stuff; more of it will drop or make a request in the trade forums here.

Yeah you can get any gear from any monster practically. It's totally random, there some things you can do to increase the chance you have of getting gear, which could in turn give you a better chance at getting what you need. Such as joining groups and playing on insane.

wait really? grouping will increase my chances of getting wat i want/need? but sometimes when i group bosses, specifically sc or sissi, i seem to get less purps/rb's. they seem to all go to the person who doesnt deserve them (leechers). thats why i just solo insane sometimes..

Soloing, yes you get all the rares, BUT your amount of loot will be quite low and many trips will most likely take place (it IS random though). Grouping, the loot is shared, BUT the amount is increased quite a bit. So enough runs and everyone leaves happy. Just hope you don't get those people that get a rb then ditch :P
