After reinstalling XP, you need to make sure you download sp2 and that you have all the .NET frameworks and their updates in order for DR to run I am told. I had to format my puter recently (last week) and have XP home ed. from 02 ish. Anyway, even after I updated to sp2 with all the security fixes, etc and had DX9.0C, DR would say I wasa missing or "not locating" some drivers/registry entries. I was informed that I forgot to get the .NET framework I had before from normal updates over the years.

Downloaded .NET's (1.1, 2 ands 3 with updates for all 3), restarted, redownloaded DR - BAM, I'm playin' again!

Go to control panel and add/remove programs and look at the bottom of the list for the .NET frameworks where your updates are listed. If theyre not listed, I would say to try and get them from microsoft update (again, open control panel, and on the left side is a link to update windows. Do a custom search, on the left click optional software and scroll down. Their titles are .NET framework 2.0, etc X86. After you download them the updates will become available when you go back to update again.

I hope this helps, if not, at least I explained to people how to get .NET framework for windows XP sp2! Good luck.

Thanks, after trying everything I could think of, I re-reinstalled XP and the service pack 2 and video drivers etc.At last! Dungeon runners is mine again! I suppose some combination of security programs and lack of .Net whatever was making bad voodo with my computer.
