Try gaseous blast. I'd also put shadow lightning as one of your mouse clicks if you're going for shadow spec. -------------------- Freesia - 7 days, 16 hours, 42 minutes to 100 |

Try getting equipments that concentrate on one particular element, instead of those that have elemental bonuses all over the place. Using Shadow Bolts and Ice Shards at the same time is completely pointless, since they both do the same thing (deal lots of damage). If you need to switch elements to counter resistances, do so manually: you don't need both at the same time. Heal Self, Not Other and Spontaneous Regeneration are completely and utterly crap in PvE. They usually heal less than Potions do, with ridiculously long cooldowns and long casting times: Heal Self, Not Other in particular gets interrupted if you use it in combat. Basically, Potions vastly outstrips those two skills. They are used only in PvP, where you cannot use potions. Put Shadow Lightning on one of your mouse buttons: I suggest you put Shadow Lightning on Left and Shadow Bolt/Ice Shards on Right, since Shadow Lightning needs a target anyway. It has a quick cooldown, so on the mouse button is better. Get Gaseous Blast from the Ranger Trainer. It may seem like a Ranger Skill, but in truth it is a powerful Mage AOE. It's damage is based on INT, as are all elemental attacks. I have mixed feelings about Spirit of the Hare and Coach Potato, but if you think you need them, so be it. You may wish to consider Gym Freak or Average BMI should you ever feel you need more HP. If you are going for INT Mage, which you seem to be, get BSoL when you can - though it may not be that useful at the early levels, it is important once it is higher leveled. |

Ty guys. I maxed out gaseous blast a week ago but I was fighting poison monsters so it doesn't help so I took it out. As for shadow lightning, I also have the knock down one. Which one should I use? Also I read another post talking about getting 4k hp. Should I do that or continue to obliterate monsters with powerful magic? Edited by Weedhead (01/31/08 06:09 PM) |

Shadow Word: Smackdown is completely and utterly useless except in PvP. Getting HP is definitely important, but don't go out on your way to do so. As I said, using Gym Freak or Average BMI is nice. |

Don't put Dark Wizardry on the mouse button: you are not a Fighter or Ranger. Instead, put a Bolt spell there. Fire Bolt shouldn't be on the skillbar, it should be on the mouse button. Considering your gear is mainly +Shadow, I would use Shadow Bolt instead of Fire Bolt, but that is up to you. |

Which one should I put if I'm going to use SR in the future? Gym Freak or Avg BMI? http://www.threeplanetssoftware.com/software/dr/Crackersd -------------------- The above is my thinking . SR as in Soul Rend? If so, DON'T BOTHER. Soul Rend, despite its damage being based on INT, has an accuracy based on AR. It's a Fighter's Skill, not a Mage Skill. Personally, I prefer Gym Freak because Average BMI really does little. |

FSeries originally postd these numbers, credit to him... Quote: so as you see this is what could be done... also if your not going to rely on Blue Screen of Life then you badly need to do one of these. And focus your gear on the lower int boost but higher def... |
