Canons coming as a weapon!! Stephen said so!!

Crushing damage for ranged gear was added in expectation of two-handed cannons showing up. We're still putting the finishing touches on them.

This is a copy paste from the ranger forum below from the topic "Does anyone understand crushing gear". I'm just throwing it up here since most of the general forum people wont go down there in particular. We were talking/joking about the upcoming rifle items, and joked about a backpack-style catapult - and this is what stephen responded with!

	Canons? How exactly are we supposed to hit mobs with religious dogma? Wouldn't that do divine damage, anyway? Do you mean Canon printers? Man, I miss one "n" and you guys are all over me! geez... At least it was the "intelligent" forum clan that caught me and not a troll.

LOL, although, the "canon" idea is like my idea for a weapon of "propoganda" in the new items suggestion area - an old style crossbow that shot an arrow that had a scroll wrapped around it. It causes fear like fear shot and gives you magic resistance!

	Do they explode or something when they hit something, how're they different than xbow?

	An arrow or bullet.. doesnt crush but goes through the body. Now it looks like we've entered the second stage of "Contra" for the good old NES - you know with the little jumping red and green guys where there were laser ropes and you had to shoot the red dot to blow up the wall... Yep, definitely looks like that.

We should all play City of Heroes: bc we all have the super power - "Heightened ability to go completely and ridiculously off-topic in forums!) I love you guys sometimes...

Now it looks like we've entered the second stage of "Contra" for the good old NES - you know with the little jumping red and green guys where there were laser ropes and you had to shoot the red dot to blow up the wall... Yep, definitely looks like that.

Omg.. I cant quote anymore, the quote button gets out of the screen.. we've reached the record by far.. lets leave it like this before I visit the thread again and I spontaniously crash because of the webpage being 2x the width of my screen width..
