PvP Fighter
#45173 - 01/22/08 09:55 PM

Alright... I love doing PvP but I'm not sure what Stats I should focus on...

I am currently level 37 in the Spec of a Ranger... My account is Here
I'm planning to spec to a fighter for PvP... where should I start? (I plan on having this a pure PvP base.

PvP? Let's see...

For starters, most PvP Fighters seem to concentrate on END more than STR: I can only assume that for a Fighter, closing in on the opponent is more important, since once you are in melee range you almost always slaughter your opponent regardless: all you need is END to sponge up the damage.

AGI is obviously important. You can't hurt the enemy if you can't hit them.

ok i my self am one of those sad people that evertime u enter pwnston your greeted by my ugly pixelated face staring at you.

with a good defence rating you need to worry minimaly about health i can win games with 50k - 60k health easily

msot points are on strength and i look for he occasional piece of armour giving me agility depending on who im fighting.

Make sure u have light in the loafers MUST HAVE!!!

if you cant pick up agil gear get mad melee mastery and us points on end to get back to your original health.

when fighting rangers and mages dont worry about int just go all out strength at 60k health i do maximum 8.2k damage which sweeps the floor with most mages and warrior.

Most warriors tend to go all out strength which never works apart from the fact that with strength being directly related to your defence rating it takes ages to kill them still but they dont touch you lol simple.

Mages will slip up at sum point and u catch them use un nerving shout and slap on your 2hander / 1hander swivel and speed buffs and get stuck in it may be the only chance you get.

I cant get on DR atm but ill send u a link to my char when im set up for a warrior i swap from range to warrior quiet often.

Yes yes as everyone is saying good end, also you need ltos of res gear for mages and you cant be to slow either or youll never catch a mage or a ranger, and for another fighter you need high def good HP and a fairly good attack power. Also a good attack rating is necessary too or your not goign to hti anything.

Ahhh... Resists. Yes, wearing the correct resistance gear and using resistance spells is very necessary when fighting Mages. If the Mage cannot change his or her elemental attack, then very likely your use of resistances can change the turn of the tide drastically. Trust me, I have multiple personal experiences on this...

One thing I have found is that you can use whatever gear you have, and then respec your points to accomodate your gear.

You keep saying you have high str gear, so go 4 end 1 agil and no strength when your distributing your points.

In this game, your gear is your goods, if you know what I mean. If you have sucky, second rate, yellow/purple gear, you will get your [censored] kicked by the more experienced players. This goes true with all classes, but especially a fighter. You need to have mostly rainbos and purples, maybe one yellow.

If the archer is a twink, you might as well leave the match. Either that or play cat and mouse the whole time, letting the full 30 seconds run down when you die, to make them chase you and stand there.

If you are fighting wrecker, be sure to have a +movement tunic in your bag because even though he is winning, he likes to run away. I guess he really likes to skunk people.

If you are fighting a mage like pharque, you will die too. I don't care how much darkness resist you have, he just plain out does too much dps to you.

So the best advice I can give, is to have at LEAST 45-50k hitpoints, get holy roller to close the gap (assuming the archer doesn't fear shot you and the mage doesn't smackdown you). And be prepared to play as cheap and dirty as the people you are fighting.

Learn from your deaths.
