What about a PvE Tank ?
#44770 - 01/18/08 12:13 PM

Hi,
Ive look the work "tank" en Search, but there is almost nothing.

Would it be good to spend points into Endurance ONLY ?

Have you ever try ?
Is it good ?

Thanks.

That really wouldn't be a good idea, yes you have alot of defense and hp but you rarely hit, and you hit low, major drawbacks unless you're constantly with someone with high damage.

I tested this out and it sucked. You actually died faster because you couldn't kill the groups of monsters fast enough that were hitting you.

So like the previous poster said, if you have a buddy who is a mage or archer, or someone who can kill things very fast, a full endurance tank would end up dieing fast because they couldn't kill the mobs fast enough.

A split between endurance and agility, and strength is required, and even some int if you plan to use spells such as holy roller/soul rend, etc.

This is one of the ways fighter get shafted. They need to split their points over more attributes the the other two classes.

Yet Fighters are still powerful in PvE and PvP.

Let me add one good idea for the iomprovement of this build:

Get much defense Rating
Get much HP

We already got. But to stay alive better, what about some fair % health steal and using cleave + awesome cleavage? You health steal all over the place, off all mobs, you do much damage, and you get hp yourself!

Not so sure about the game anymore, where are the old good days?!

Just get armor that has good defense rating, make sure you have a pretty fair or above average hit rate..and have rings and/or amulet that gives you an HP bonus..and have cleave...seems to work for me just fine. oh ya...use a good 2h weapon..if you use 1h dual 1h..don't use a shield..they help sometimes cuz they give good bonuses *some purple shields* BUT your 1H weapon doesn't have a good max hit number as compared to a 2H weapon.

There are skills such as Mad Melee Mastery and Way of the Roo which boosts your AR by quite a bit. Besides, who said you shouldn't put anything in Agility?
