Firstly, instead of leaving your left mouse button empty, put a Passive in there. That way you can save space on your skill bar, and still have your left mouse button acting as your normal attack.

Personally, I don't like Retribution because the damage reflection is very small and almost negligible compared to your normal damage. It doesn't actually block damage: you still get dealt the full damage by monsters. You just hit them back for a little bit. Considering monster damage is significantly lower than your own damage, it isn't much.

You may wish to put on AOEs to deal with weaker, massed monsters. Cleave is obviously a good choice. Gaseous Blast has decent damage and low mana cost, so you may wish to use that as well (although personally, I find Fighters to be ineffective when using Mage AOEs).

Light in the Loafers is not particularly useful in PvE, since the only speed debuff is when you run through monsters. Its use is mainly in PvP, where you are almost always slowed.

Well now that's intresting, so where would be a good place to train?

run Snowcheif til he stops giving you xp... then the next place would be Rotgut til he stops.... then Embercore one of the straight side dungeons, I used Demonic Crypts for 40 lvls but that was way far back:)

By "sprites" you mean the little "ankle biter" monsters? If so, as Necro suggested use AoE attacks to clean them out. I lucked out for my current level and found a good weapon, so they are all "one hitters".

Ahhh makes sense i have a one hitter but it has low attack rating so well i never hit >_>...

Another option may be to use "one handed swivel". I was not too fond of the low attack rate of my current weapon, but when joined with this skill, it is much better. I have equipped an AoE spell to one of my mouse buttons as well. That way, after the cool down, it fires again. Even on insane, I clear a mob in minimal time.

Get gaseous blast and crank it up to level 3. It will take care of most of the fodder in one hit and leave the rest at a one-hit state.

If you have a problem with low attack rating, I suggest you use the Passive "Mad Melee Mastery", which increases your attack rating by a lot (at the cost of some HP).

I also see that you now use Heal Self, Not Other. Again, like Light in the Loafers, that is a PvP skill, not a PvE skill. Heal Self, Not Other usually doesn't heal for much (less than what a potion can), and it has a very long cooldown of over a minute. Plus, it takes 5 seconds to fully deploy the skill, and when you get attacked during that time the skill CANCELS. Basically, its a waste of Skill Slot unless you are PvPing, in which case it is useful because you cannot use Potions.

Yes that's why i removed it, well now it says i need to be a higher level... i think it was 30 last time i checked... but anyways now i get to deal with the monotony of killing in SC.

It seems my original thread spawned a few more, my apologies.
However, for new players wondering how their build is for PvE, it's nice to get input. I thought that my build was pretty good until I posted asking about it, and after following some suggestions can now power through mobs about twice as fast as before, without taking even close to the damage as before. PvP builds are easy because you can see instant results. If you beat a few people 2+ times your level, you can be pretty sure that you've got a decent build. But for PvE, there is no determining factor if you don't know how fast you're actually capable of going through mobs. Input is helpful.

Why on Earth do you care? If you don't want to help, by all means don't. There are others who are quite willing to help. In any case, if you looked carefully you will realise we have been discussing PvE builds, not PvP builds: and even if we were, what is the problem with asking for advice at all?

Sorry to say this, but taking your pve character into pvp to 'test' how good of a pve build it is, is just plan stooooooopid.

First of all in pve you have about 4+ targets to kill at once, not just one or maybe to.

In pve the monsters form a nice little ring around you, or have a specific pattern of attack, in pvp, it is 100% random.

In pve the monsters have known resists and do specific damage, so you can prepare for which armor/weapons to use. In pvp you won't know until the fight starts what type of opponent you are fighting or what type of attacks/damage they will be using.

In pvp its all about a balance between out-killing and out-living your opponents.

They are totally different games.

That is true. Builds for PvE and PvP are quite different. While my PvE build can waste monsters in PvE, I'll be flat on my face if I use it in PvP. Likewise, my PvP build, while okay in PvP, is going to make me a very inefficient PvEer.
