Screen resolution change?

When I start DR the login screen doesn't fit on my monitor. It seems that the resolution of the screen exceeds that of my monitor. As a result all of the login/password entry fields are off-screen. This is probably a graphics card problem but I don't know how to fix it  I run Windows XP pro and I have a ATI Radeon X1950 Pro |

sounds like you have the resolution of your monitor (your desktop) set low (or lower than 800x600 at least) cuz at default DR runs 800x600 (i think...dont quote me) My monitor runs at 1024x786 or whatever and DR runs the same or the next one down im pretty sure, but when i start the game my monitor resets anyway. check your dekstop settings and your video card settings. maybe thatll help. -------------------- "The future is in your grasp, be sure to reach for it before hands more determined and bloody than your own wrench it away." |

Well actually the opposite seems to happen. My resolution is 1280X1024, when DR starts it seems to set the resolution lower. My graphics card supports 2 monitors and I think thats where the problem lies. Except I have the 2nd monitor display disabled, only DR seems to think that there is one |

ahh. hmm, i guess i have no idea then, lol. I would make a technical problem ticket with support and see if they help, i guess theyre pretty prompt and helpful with their replies as most have said. Ensure that the one you are playing on is monitor 1 and that monitor 2 (if shown) does not have "extend the desktop" checked. It doesn't seem to help :P The box wasn't checked and when I try to enable it (for testings sake) it wont. There is no 2nd monitor attached. The check boxes for the 1st monitor are grayed, they cant be changed. I already send a support ticket to Play NC, I'll just have to wait until after the holly days I gues. |

Hmm, I was going to ask if everything was huge and nostalgic (if you didnt get that your to young) but you said your running a high res so I'd try reinstalling the game or you could just chalk up another one for "Windows: Just Another Pain In The Glass" Happy New Years! Dr does not start at a default resolution. Instead it looks at the performance of your video card and the current desktop resolution. If the desktop resolution for the primary monitor is widescreen then DR will try to use that resolution. How ever if your video card is found to be to slow for said setting, then DR will try to find a smaller resolution with the same aspect ratio. What monitor do you use? What is your desktop set to? In C:\Program Files\NCSoft\Dungeon Runners\config\user.cfg ( use notepad to open ) What does it say for? FullscreenHeight and FullscreenWidth. Change the afore mentioned values as a work around. |
