I am brand new here just had a few questions.
#41882 - 12/19/07 06:06 PM

1. What is the max level that can be reached?
2. When at the max level are the classes all the same or what? When playing i saw that I being a ranger could also buy fighter and Mage skills... If i can buy those what is the point in even having different classes?
3. Do people have different jobs in group such as tank (meat shield), DPS (Damage Per Second), Healers/ support.. are things such as those factors in grouping in this game?
4. About how many different towns and dungeons are there to play in?
5. Are there rare enemies that may show up in places?
6. In the end game are there things such as raid type enemies that require a very very good group to get through?

Thanks to anyone who answers any of my questions. I appreciate it. I just dont want to get to involved with this game if there are to many things i dont like about it. From what i have played with the free stuff the game seems like it could be lots of fun. Thanks again and good day everyone!

1. 100
2. you can always buy any skill from any trainer to make any kind of character that fits your daily preference, at any time at any level - youll just need lots of funds. You can also respec your stats at any lvl, again with the $$. the point of having diff classes is A. you start with different skills for free and ...uh.... different noob equipment and ....uh.... thats it, lol (this is a very "free" game all around.
3. Group how you want, there's tanking mages, and magic casting fighters (read the hybrids posts in the forums). There are no healers bc there is no skill to heal anyone else or use health pots on them.
4. Theres only one "town" - Townston, from which all action sallys forth which is also where all your imp NPCS and the bank is. For dungeons there are multiple dungeons with 7 main lvls each, with subdungeons and a boss lair, with a obelisk "safe haven" or base camp for the next set of dungeons on lvl 5 of each lvl. I would visit www.thetownstons.com for a complete list of the dungeons in the game.
5. Enemies are randonly generated on all lvls, with some lvls having diff amounts of diff "strength" creatures (ie normal, leader, champion). I dont believe there are any "rarely" occuring creatures necessarily, but some creatures wont spawn every time you enter or reset any particular lvl. There is a randomly spawning gnome though...
6. There is no "end" game, and currently they are building more dungeon(s)for players lvl 55-100. There are no lvls that necessarily "require" groups or strong groups of characters, although there is the Horrific Dungeon of Legend (HDol) which is set at a higher difficulty in general than all the other dungeons (more champs, more mobs in general) so grouping there with higher lvls chars can be easier and rsult in more loot for the players.

Hope that helps in some way and that no one else already answered your ?'s out of this forum...lol. DR is kinda like MMO "lite" in some ways, "Diablo-esque" in others, but in all ways fun and easy to get into and out of in a night.
Im glad someone finally made a game like it!
