level 40 in room of creation not getting exp

i grouped with my friend who is level 30, and i noticed i wasnt getting exp i should be able to get exp there until 55, so does him being 10 levels lower than i am have something to do with it? he was still getting exp |

If you are more than 5 levels above monsters then you won't get XP. He must have been the leader of the group... as the leader of the group determines the level of the dungeon. The color of the name of the monster on its tooltip will be gray if you won't get XP from it. steve |

true, it is 4 at the 5th level no more experience. for instance you get no experience at level 10 in Dew Valley not that you'd want to. |
