I have warrior questions
#41367 - 12/14/07 07:50 PM

I have ranger, and when starting it was very easy to kill monster, get armor, etc.. and I did not have to use that many potion, and I still do not use that many potion.

SO I create a warrior, but I find that he has to use potion on every battle or he dies. I tried to respec him for better endurance and balance but this has no difference. Also it takes longer to kill monster than it takes ranger.

Maybe I just like ranger better? DOes warrior suck like I said above or am I not use him right?

Hey pigfart so I never had a problem with lvling my warrior at low lvls, but it was a different DR when i started him, You should if your a barbarian meaning a warrior with not much intelligence at all then You need to just up your end, and a little agil like 4 end and 1 agil because being able to hit the mobs is very important, your ranger could kill so good cause his agil was high every arrow did damage well you need to get your warrior so he doesn't miss much but keep the endurance high, get all high end armor and use two one handed weapons.

I've gone 3/1/1 str/agi/end and adjusted as needed as I've leveled up. You don't need int. Even with one +10 int mod on an item, you're generally fine. I can see going str/end and getting alot of agility gear too working pretty well. Fighters are safe but slow. Nothing can stop you but the trash mobs are annoying unless you have some AoE spells to fall back on.

nearly pur str/end in terms of points, while armor boosts some o fthe other stuff, but agian mostly str/end. end is about 2x str for me. I only use pots in big mobs w/ poison(which is basically all of teh later dungeons)

Basically i started my main character(now a lvl 30 fighter) with a sissirat build, or watever ur called them, which focuses on skills and endurance more than strength, basically because i need the endurance to withstand damage from sissirat. Im doin fine wth it nw, cause i changed the build ltr in the game at bout lvl 20 i started changing. Ranger hv low def but its ranged, tts why no need so much pots, but the weps r relli limited, arent it? Evry1's using tt same crossbow rb(i forgot wats it called the purplish rb crossbow). No creativity in ranger. xD

But as long as it's res'd: no creativity in rangers? Rangers have 4 rainbow weapons (to this point) all of which have pretty specific advantages, and, therefore, somewhat specific applications. Rangers are as creative as the gear allows.

All of which has been discussed before. Rangers are ranged fighters, there are not many ranged weapons, so of course you will see "repeats". Either that or implement slingshots, dart guns, umm.... Rubber chicken launchers.

And on a side note, spell check, make it your friend.
