Ad Effectiveness?
#41233 - 12/13/07 09:26 PM

Do these repetitive Ads make you want to buy the product, or smash the product over someone's head. Also, there should be no ad after dying, becuase you're already frustrated enough after you die and seeing an ad after that associates the product with anger. At least this is what I think. If I ever see Carmelo Anthony on the street I'm gonna punch him in the face and say "YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN QUICKER AND MORE AGILE!!!

If you want to bash someone over the head with the product, you have to buy it.

Ad accomplished.

My only complaint with the ads is the ones you see when you are exiting the game. Sometimes you need to close the game, and indeed the computer in a hurry (kids playing Dungeon Runners without their parent's permission comes into mind), and the ad... well, it betrays you. And if you are in the situation as said before, you will most likely be banned from the computer and grounded, and so you cannot play Dungeon Runners and can no longer support the game by watching ads. I think sacrificing that one ad is a small price to pay for saving kids from being banned from Dungeon Runners altogether.

Lol what is this all about, be happy you get something free, AND you get things that you originally ahd to pay for, now you get them by seeing ads and opay nothing. You actually make cash by viewing the ads and then give the cash to DR right away. Sigh, why people cant understand that nothing is free.

I understand that these ads are in place so that I don't have to pay, and I appreciate that. I'm merely commenting on the fact that the ads don't make me want to buy the product, they make me angry towards Carmelo Anthony. I love the new stuff that the free players got and I know I should be thanking the advertisers, but I can't. You watch yourself Mr. Anthony.

And I say unless it's something serious punishment does [censored] all for kids, I wasn't grounded a day growing up and I'm perfectly fine. Kids faults are usually parenting faults, restricting your children makes them sheltered, coddling them makes them dependent and weak.

IMO, coddling kids makes them brats, over-restricting them either makes them meek or rebellious, depending on the nature of the kid. Discipline, however, is definitely needed: "Spare the rod, spoil the child".

LOl lock them up until they're 18. I am 14 myself.. and look? Im not immature (As far as you people know me ) How is that possible

Now on serious side always notice:"A part of the population in the game are kids, and SOME of them are immature" sort of stuff.

I'm not sure how this post changed from ads to good parenting.

Putting it back on track.
How about just the banner ads at the top of the screen and do away with all the ads while we wait. Everyone hates ads. The people that are playing are doing just that, not shopping for MJ's new shoe.

Well, people might hate me for this. but IMO Keep both. Its what keeps Dungeon Runners free. Ill let the company's with ads pay for my gaming Thanks Jump23.com lol.
If you really wish to get rid of ads, pay 5$ a month. Its not a crazy amount, plus you get some bonus's.

If they're useless, why are the companies wasting their money on this? There's bound to be people who click in the ads. Besides, the more ads, the more revenue we generate for Dungeon Runners, and that's good.

It is bad enough we have to wait for the ads to finish, but now they are taunting us with little smerks at the bottom of the ads. Like back so soon! And you can avoid this ad...
It is BS. So us an add while the game loads, not while we are in the middle of a fight. By the time the ad run and I port back to my group the fight it over. Really sux!!!
Thanks DR for putting stupid gas on crazy fire.
