i got like 15 rbws tonight before i went to pvp and 10 of them a nonmember can use. Basically a nonmember is the same as us members who have dealt with the bank space for so long.

You gave them yellows, purples, rbws, and bank space. Big whoop they have to watch a 10 sec AS as a downfall.

All the fire gear i have for a mage is not membership and dark rings and grenade arent either. Sissi staff is however but what will stop us paying members to cancell membership as its like we paying $5 for nothing.

Given them bank, stack of potions, 50% of yellows, and 25% of purples should be MORE then what you should. To give them rbws as well just means most of paying customers when the time runs out WONT renew cause there is no reason for it.

Ive noticed that the percentages you listed are total bull as well. 90% of the yellows I got were non-mem, all of the purple as well(out of 4)
Not that I have a prob, as they do have ads, though it seems odd

I just did some testing on the PTS:

I generated twenty mythics in two batches of ten to test the percentages. On the first batch eight of the ten were members only. On the second batch seven of the ten were members onle. It looks like about 25% of the mythics were usable by free players, as designed.

I also generated twenty unique items in two batches of ten. Both batches had seven of the ten requiring membership.

The chances seem to be checking out. If you got 15 mythics in an evening and most of them were usable by free players then there's either a terrible bug or you got really lucky.

I'm putting my money on luck. In any case, we'll take a gander at the generators and see if anything is amiss.

stephen i get 5-12 rbws an hour with my set up. I wont lie to you and this all rbws prepatch that is tradeable to nonmembers is horsechit. Plus that crap low lvl ranger heal chit..

Explain to me why a nonmeber should even get rbws to begin with? Basically you gave nonmembers everything a member had for many months. I could easily cancell my member account and with my mules i could be decked out in all the same rbws and gear.

Makes no sense to me to pay once you lvl 100 and have the same gear on an alt prepatch that you can easily swap over. If i am wrong then tell me but i dont just see it.

I mean i basically have the same rbws clamm has on mules and prolly 100 more more. I hope this is making some sort of sense.

You kinda sound ungreatful. I'll tell ya what, I'm very greatfull to stephen and company for fixing a few things I had problems with...

1. the item linking in world chat
2. enabling froobs to use the stuff they can now use
3. the market channel
4. the bank

All at the cost of ads, I dont got a problem with them. I only got one question to ask...

Are we gonna get movie ads soon? I mean I'm fine with the shoe comercials, I was just wondering is all.

Lavos, I think you miss the point that Clamm is trying to make. At the cost of a few ads, the non-members basically get all the benefits of the members. In particular, the use of rainbows. Any that were in inventory or bank became usable by non-members. What is it that members are paying for? The use of 2 extra bank tabs(3 total) and potions that stack up to 10. Truthfully, as a member, I felt a bit of a slap when I saw all that non-members were going to get.

And Clamm, 5 to 12 an hour?! I used to get 2 to 5 from Abby...wowzers. Now I get 5 to 12 uniques in that time frame...Rbw's are something of an extreme rarity for me now.

believe me you do not want to let your renewal time run out at least until the bugs get worked out. i just became a paying customer because that stupid shoe commercial kept causing my computer to freeze. i had so many problems since those ads started popping up with lag and worse performance it made way more since to just pay the damn 5 dollors and have an enjoyable game experiance

Clamm I do feel your frustration. But I think the ads are a better overall business plan than the membership for the game. Assuming on an average player they are getting close to the $5 revenue per month then why not allow them the same benefits. Personally it is worth the $5 a month to not see the adds and the extra bank space. I understand you have a machine where you can run multiple mules to hold your rainbows but not everyone has that option.

kk maybe this will clear it up. Most lvl 100s have mules loaded with rbws so what will stop the nonmember lvling to 100 becoming friends with members and given rbws? Sure in 2 months when all those rbws are given away and when the 25% chance really comes into play. As for now its not a good thing at all.

personally Im torn between the two sides on this issue.

But I would like to know one thing.....
