After loading patch, I tried logging. After entering pw, I received the world selection screen but, when I select a world I am booted back to pw login screen.

Anyone else have this problem? I have tried restarting computer and restarting game. All to no avail.

Could use a help please.

Chunk #2 went live today and there have been server problems related with the update.

yep the same thing happened to me and i still cant get on
and i used my husbands log in info and i could get right on

The servers are all back up at the time of this posting (4pm CST). If you are getting an error that says "Error Connecting to Server" then double check your firewall settings. This was a full client update, so the version of DungeonRunners.exe changed - firewalls typically need to be told to reallow a program when this happens.

same thing I logged out after being on several worlds etc now I cant log in. Iget to the Sign in screen, put my info in and then select a world....doesnt matter what world I select it sends me back to the sign on screen.

Still can't log in. I was able to make a new account and access the game so, I don't believe its a fire wall issue. However, I am not the most computer savvy person so wouldn't know 100% either.

I am not getting an error.......it jsut resets to the sign in screen

I get the same thing with my laptop but my pc has no problems

one other little side note from this issue Tristanne, I was in the prcess of transferring rbs to my new bank pages , I am missing two pages of rbs now that never were recorded .....ouch

Is there anyone who is still having problems logging in?

I play in windowed mode. Originally, I could not click on buttons, but enter key was still working. This included login button, play button and inventory items. Multiple attempts to re-launch game did not solve. I then alt-entered to toggle to full screen mode and everthing worked fine. After alt-enter back to windowed mode everything was still fine.

It won't let me log in It was fine an hour and a half ago. I got off when the DB thing happened. Guess I'll make a non-member account and try it out.

Glad I'm not having the same problem.

I was farming SC on my non member account and all of a sudden the screen froze. Now I can't log in.

Still havin issues. It lets me log in and select a world, but then just bounces back out to opening page, or just shows queued forever.

Same issue, getting bounced back to login screen when I try to select a world. This is on my memeber account. The non member account I made today to test the firewall/computer logs in fine.

Anyone know if the Devs are looking into this yet?

Anson that posted above you and is a dev. I know the devs were around babysitting us since Chunk 2 was released. The problem had been "corrected" but apparently has flared up again.

i can get to the login screen but i see that world 1 is full but i try world 2 or 3 or 4 and i can't get in why is that?

I had the bouncing issue on my member account, but my ugly, makes-me-glad-im-a-member account I just made works.

yeah i see that world 1 is full i can't getinto the otherworlds that have less players it keeps login me out? what is goin on? Don't have fire wall so i know it can't be that and i checked about the vido card and i don't think that's the problem... i don't have a genforce card

ok i dont know if everyones problems are fixed but its not working for me, i type my details press log in, it logs in, then i click on world 3, it says its logging me in then it shows me an ad..then it flashes where it should have just taken me to pick the character i want to use but then shows me another ad and sends me back to the log in page.

Neither of my two member accounts can login now, they were working fine earlier. I was on World 1 for about an hour and decided to go over to the PvP server and now I get kicked back to the login screen after selecting a world. It's definitely not a firewall problem since I can login using non-member accounts.

I have a member account. When I attempt to log in, after I select world, the "connecting to world" message flashes briefly on the dialog box and I am brought back to login screen. Was working ok about 45 mins ago. I attached a free Dungeon Runners account to my NCsoft account and I am able to log in with that.

Same here.

My screen froze about an hour ago.
I went to do some stuff.
I come back and try to login..
Type login info, then select world...
Then it takes me right back to login screen....

I miss my shiny new hybrid class... =(

We are continuing to work on this... not much more I can say right now.

We're working on it. The problem is not related to whether you are a member or not, I'm afraid.

I would also like to say that I have been in queue for like an hour now for server 1. And this is not really related to anything but I just wanted to take this time to say that...

The server queue counts up, and it fails. Its supposed to get shorter!! Lol =P

It's pretty late at night. This is going to have to wait until the morning, I'm afraid. We've got a fix for everyone who hasn't been able to log in, but I can't affect it without Stephen's say-so. I'm sorry, but we will have it sorted out in the morning.

Whoah now. Outages happen sometimes. Obviously, this patch was pushed out a bit early to beat the 14th deadline. I get it that your upset and you have every right to be. Myself, I'd love to be playing my main account now but I can't.

You do bring up a very good point. If the DR team hasn't already, they should establish an escalation procedure and internal service level agreement for outage escalation, including on-call engineers who can escalate to Stephen on as needs basis.

However, in the grand scheme of things, not being able to play an MMO for 8 hours isn't going to cause your world to come to a crashing halt. Sometimes things break. Sometimes it's a quick fix that can happen overnight, and sometimes it's better to get a full nights sleep and work on the problem with a clear head. People don't work well with a gun to their head. Everyone makes mistakes. Evolved workplaces worry more about learning from mistakes than punishing people for them.

You guys are fast - I did have to remove a post a few minutes ago.

Some of you guys may be aware of this from the CoH forums, but once you remove a post that has been in violation it will sadly remove all posts that had replied to it. I wish there was a way around it, but this is a software limitation. The best way to avoid this is to make sure you do not reply back to a post that is against the rules. I do apologize to those who had their posts removed by this. It surely was not my intention. Even Stephen got caught by this, oops

When it comes to editing: in cases where only a few words are in violation I can edit it out, keeping the post up. There are some cases where I can just go ahead and edit all the words of a post completely. I try to do this as much as possible. However, there are some situations where I have to keep the violating post completely intact (offline) for both documentation and validation purposes. It isn't always something I can just copy and paste into another document. This is for everyone's protection.

So to be clear, I'm the one who had that post removed, not Stephen or anyone else. They can take criticism quite well, I think. But if it gets personal, I'm going to remove it, whether it is directed towards an employee or a player. We must be consistent in how we treat others.

I personally find the DR dev team to be very sympathetic and they completely understand why people are upset. I'm not trying to keep criticisms hidden; there is no secret agenda here. I didn't try to cover up criticisms against the dev staff in CoH or Auto Assault, so why would I start now After all, knowing how our customers really feel is valuable information.

I just want all players to feel comfortable with expressing themselves - whether it is good or bad - just make sure you don't take it to a personal level. It really only derails the issue, which causes other issues, and that takes the focus away from the main issue that started it all.
