I cant farm sissy... and i am level 28 yet i can farm Sc when other say they can farm both at level 18 or less what am i doing wrong???? i use shadow lightning ring of fire mostly but i cant farm sissly alone

Hard to say without seeing your entire build. But I know those 2 spells you primarily use do not do enough damage to a single mob. Most of your damage is going to the rats Sissi is summoning. Suggest using a bolt spell instead of shadow lightening. Also you need to have poison resist on.

try using poison resist and I find fire damage works really good :}
Also try going after Sissi first as no matter how many broodlings you kill he summons more. Also try using health potions 3-5 at a time. that way you regen faster than the damage you take.

as far as doing SC at 18 i find that almost impossible well maybe on normal but it still would be extremely tough..

For sissi like the others said poison resist is key in the fight.. And like the other said shoot for sissi first and stay on him then do some gas, ring of fire, for the broodlings when sissi is dead and then shoot for rattle

Well my build is something like this fire bolt, monster bait, shadow lightning, ring of fire, gaseous blast, Righteous Stomp, heal self not other, book worm mental prowess, and ice shards in that order is there a much better build then that?

I would definately suggest taking some time to determine what focus your build is going to have. As a mage, you need to focus on dealing primarily one type of damage between shadow, fire, and ice. Find all of your gear with a + bonus to your chosen damage type. For example, I chose to be a shadow mage. Every single piece of my gear gives +x to shadow damage. My jewelry and staff also give a +x% to shadow damage. These bonuses are what takes a mediocre build into a great build. There is nothing like grouping with other people who have perfected a certain build type. But also, nothing is more frustrating than carrying groupmates with non specific build types through boss farms. You know when you're the only one dealing damage.

So, once you decide a specific area of magic to focus on, you will need to reevaluate your skill bar. Regardless of which specialty you choose, you really need to consider the passives Gym Freak and BMI. These non mage passives help us magi stay alive by giving us more hit points at the cost of a little mana. You don't want any skill points in strength or agility. You also may want to limit your points in end and go almost pure int, but this can be debated. Another gear consideration is the stat bonus of gear besides a magic specific bonus. A perfect piece of gear for me is at my level, and either purple or yellow. Some yellow gear ROCKS! It would be purely + int or perhaps split +int/end on a case by case basis. It would also have + shadow damage, and in a perfect world + shadow %.

After you have gotten your strategy/stats/skill bar/gear all resolved you need to start paying attention to rainbows that support your specific build type. Don't fall into the trap that you will only use rb gear, or that you will use any rb gear you find. IF THE GEAR DOESN'T FIT YOUR BUILD TYPE IT IS WORTHLESS TO YOU! This applies to rainbows as well. 97% of all the rainbows out there are not going to suit your needs as well as a yellow or purple you find will. I like to use the amulet of yawn-bore for an example. I find these things all the time and they give a huge + % character size. Well, this may make you feel cool in town and get lots of whispers from level 5's, but the gear is junk beyond that. There's nothing there to support a specific build type. I used the same yellow amulet for 22 levels before I found one that was better. I'd rather have + int + shadow + shadow % any day before I have + character size or even + uber coolness. Uber coolness doesn't kill monsters, uber builds kill monsters.

if you want to solo abby as a mage load up ice gear with fire resist....... shadow wont work here as abby is resistant to shadow and immune to fire.... to solo abby and do it well at your lvl you need alot of ice gear and that is hard to get while lvling
