Just wondering. Im a 18 ranger and just finished arg all way threw including sissirat. i think i filled half my inventory with hp potions for each level (not including the side dunions) I have difficulty on insane. amazingly im still averaging about 15k profit per level including the side dungions. just wondering if anyone else has to abuse health potions or if anyone can give me any advice. im a straight up ranger who uses venom blast and ring of fire

1) Are you a member? Non-members tend to use more pots because they tend to have less defense and do less damage than members at the exact same level (blue gear can have the same stats, but is a couple of levels behind yellow gear).

2) You might want to buff your HP by taking Gym Freak or putting more points/gear into END.

3) You're playing on insane - 'nuff said.

I have found the gear that is designed for a ranger tends to have a lower defense than gear that is designed for a fighter. If you are not constantly moving and allow a large number of mobs to beat on you the lack of defense will hurt you.

You have every right to run the dungeons at whatever level tickles your coccyx. Why do you run them at the insane level? If you are looking to receive superior loot I have found that I get the best return for my insane rating killing the bosses. If you are just running the levels at the insane level for the challenge then you are using the pots as a crutch. Or rather you are using them to allow you to play in an area that your tune is ill equipped to handle using your current play style.

Lastly, my disclaimer stating that I am not trying to incite your ire. Tryin' ta help.

Well to be honest. I ran threw the dungeon to get to sissirat. i needed a WP for it so i could farm and get better gear/money for skills. just took me literally 8 hours top to bottom and that was w/o clearing the zones. and about 80k in health pots

I am a member. and each time i level i put 3 in agi and 2 in end. i was depating on putting some in str due to fact it states that it has a defensive thing on it. not sure if that will help.

I hit Algeron at lvl 10 with no problem staying on insane.
I think i'm lvl 28 now and am fixin to ditch Algor for newer turf... but on your stats division... as a ranger for the last 15 lvls i've been dumping everythin into agi and using gear to boost int and end... roughly 2.8 k each:) course i'm still not that used to the ranger since Bogey was Warrior then Mage and now warrior again

I know I drink em like they are going out of style! :-) I play dual wield fighter, though, so I'm always getting beat on.

Playing a mage, I haven't had to buy potions in over 6 levels.

I can shoot and run, but this take a lot of time. with the mage I prefer just to go in the middle of the monsters and cast fire ring, gaseos blast, shadow lighting and ice shards and finish them very fast. of course this strategy implies the use of potion, but I like it more like this. it's more dinamic
