since there is no spell haste skill for mages how about implementing spell speed on staffs and wands... (i am fighting hard for the lvl 100 mage to make them better)) for instance you can get a staff with slothful attack speed but spell casting speed would be ludicrous.. just a thought as fighters/rangers get haste and a ranger could have 4 arrows in a target compared to my 1 1/2 basically ranger is shooting his 5th when my 2nd landed being the same distance..

Perhaps instead of your spell attack speed being limited by your stave (which doesn't really make sense, really... a spell's combat efficiency isn't affected by your stave terribly a lot compared to warrior/ranger weapons, so I don't think a stave should be able to hamper your spell performance), some staves might have casting speed modifiers. For example, 10% increase in casting speed.

Beside this fact, that others got speed buffs on the weps, but staffs dont. Its dangerious to put this in, needs some thinking, I know some great mages, counting you with that clamm, and others know im talking about them, that can make a dps thats actually pretty good. So dont let it be overpowered, but it could be nice for mages, as they miss alot that other "Classes" do have.

yeah some thought will have to be done as with crits coming to mages that should help and i hope they put crit on weapons/armor instead of a spell skill..

i think forgetting the speed buffs on items and havin the same speed buffs we get as rangers/fighters would do. Not so much the passive just the timed buff. that'd add a fairly good amount of dps with out making them OP. Right now even the best mages (u know who you are) are still doing fairly miserable single target dps

i agree with ya dazzi i was just trying to save us mages a spell slot )))) with the speed on staffs ..
