How about you guys impress me instead of copying certain diablo games with the bank...

Here is my vision in addition too (or instead of) the bank having pages. How about special bank pages where the bank slots are laid out by inventory slot. (ie it looks like a picture of your paper doll). You would have a half dozen of these. And while you could interact with the bank paper doll the same way that you interact with a normal paper doll (accept it would be on the left side of the screen), the real magic of this page would be a button marked
"Swap"

When you press "Swap" the current bank paper doll items become your player paper doll items and your current items go to the bank paper doll.

This idea was inspired by someone saying the real reason they run out of bank space is multiple suits at 100. But if the real reason they want bank space is suits then why not facilitate a faster bank experience and not just a larger one!

The beauty of this idea is that while a normal bank page inventory has to have the capacity to database a 100 little tiny items like rings the suit only has to have the capacity to database 9 items (because bps cant be replaced by 8 rings for example) so you can be very generous with suit database space and be very efficient on the server database side.

So I propose instead of 3 pages of bank space in the upcoming patch. Give 2 pages and implement a 6 page "Hot Suit/ Bank Suit" system asap. Because not only will it give people more space for storing suits of gear but it will help them organize it and utilize it faster!

Win win and more fun and less tedium is what this game is about!

A note about details: A slot with nothing in it on the bank paper doll wouldnt swap with swap. (ie it would never trade your gear for empty gear). The reason is the gear is assumed to be thematic. And swap would swap themes for power users that do not want to move stuff around in paper dolls by hand. But going barefoot is never a good idea.

The other upside to a set of bank paper dolls is that it helps organize your ideas instead of having an amorpheous pile in the bank. So even without using swap. Bank paper dolls are handy stuff.

Huh???

Never had a problem with any bank containing any of my gear in any game that I've played. Would prefer the devs to spend their precious time developing content and fixing bugs than worrying about a new database for a bank.

There's my 2 cents. That'll be a dollar, please.

Wouldnt be a new database it would be a new front end. You could map the 6 suits to a "hidden page" that the user never sees if the database is constrained to pages. The server logic would translate interaction with paper dolls to an interaction with the "hidden page".

The fork wasnt invented until the 11th century. I assure you people ate just fine without the fork though... The point is just because you got by without an organization helper area of the bank does not mean the organization would be useless.

Specially in a game where the perfect pvp and pve gear suits are two radically different things, and they seem to be pushing both.

To the pvp player this means just running to the bank and opening the paper doll with the pve gear in it and hitting "swap". Knowing that as soon as they wanted to pvp again they only have to run to the bank and hit "swap" to reverse their updated incarnation of pve gear into pvp gear at a moments notice.

For the ranger it means being able to keep a suit of "poison ranger" gear in the bank and when ever you got sick of being a "piercer ranger" you could swap. Free of the time burden of having to maintain the theory of swap paper dolls in a flat amorpheous space.

In addition it is easier to conceptualize a stored gear sets when they are in their own paper doll instead of a flat bank. This should increase some user satisfaction as they farm several suits for collectability purposes. They get the satisfaction of actually seeing it stored as a suit or partial suit in the bank.
