Hello all, i'm a bit new to the forums, but I thought this might be a great way for me to start out. I would like to ATTEMPT to organize a PvP tournament for people who aren't anywhere near level 100. Hopeful this will generate enough interest to make 2v2 battles, but for now it will be 1 on 1. To start off, the level cap will be from 15-35. I will adjust this if not enough people can join. I also need some higher level players to scout out possible entrants for me, and to act as a referee of some sorts. This is because I want to try and do this in the practice arena, as trying to get everything set up in the matchmaker with only 1 server will end in chaos. There will be a few specific rules we need to decide on, and hopefully we can set dates and make a nifty little score board thing. Please post your sign ups or any feedback you can give me. otherwise im cureently lvl 33 and may be over ur lvl 35 cap soon...but i like the idea, especially for 1v1

imo if u do in practice arena its simple...let players ref themselves, play to a kill limit, everything goes...problem is if u ref u could potentially get a ref "in the way"...or have a ref thats friends with a particular person.

also ne set of rules wil just become a tit for tat with ppl...i dunt think u can pot in the practice arena so itd be as simple as go kill the other guy unti xxxx criteria are meet...u caqnnot argue if u have died or not...and after u kill some 1 u simply type the number of how many times...this way u dunt all the sudden have some 1 saying i have 10/15 kills..etc

the "ref(s)"...er score keeper(s) is prob a better name...should be some 1 not in the tournement and simply keep track of

1)whos in the tournement
2)brackets ie who faces who when
3)who wins

*maybe setting up some kind of entry fee in items of a certain color and then ditributing them based on selection
ex: 10 contestants = 10 purple items as entry fee(1 per person)...1st place selects 5 peices they want 1st, 2nd place selects 3 peices they want after winner selects, then 3rd place is given last 2 peices....

this is of course contingent on having a reliable person to hold the items...

Thanks Pew, I like your ideas, especially about the pot, hadn't really thought of that. The level cap was just an idea, it's not written in stone, need to get many more people before I finalize it. I suppose we can go on an honor system of you report your own losses. Hopefully there wont be too many disputes. I'm going to hold the pot for now, entry fee will be one nice item, I know some people aren't members. I'll throw a rainbow or two in as well.

Okay, we have a few people now, still need more to make it more than 4 matches though... If you can sign up or know someone who can, please post or pm me! Should be lotsa fun and a (semi) nice pot to the winner!

yea i have been stashin some purples in the bank (mostly fighter gear, as most of my friends are fighters) most of the items are around lvl 30...i have 1 or 2 items that may be of use to other class's so based on what class is majority of the fights is how ill pick what i put in for entry fee

Well we arent getting anywhere near the amount of people I would've liked. Also, maybe we should just hold off until the new PvP changes take effect. Anyway, keep signing up!

Hey. Id be willing to train up another character just for this. Should have people bring items to get into the tourny and have one person everyone trusts hold them till the end. It would also help if there were 2 refs to keep it fair and they should have +speed gear on so they can move out of the way quickly. If you got a 50 to ref they could also tele out of the way if needed.

P.S.: The refs dont need to be close to the fighters to watch. (PvP trick here) If you angle your cam down and zoom all the way out you can see over walls. (I use this so people dont sneak up behind me :P)

P.S.S.: I also know a few people I think would do this too.
