Suggestions for handling resets..
#34120 - 08/31/07 05:49 PM |
This idea came to me the other night, when going for speed rounds, like "lair of cheiftain", "room of creation" repeats, best to make all players vacating to "townston" as a signal of ones desire to reset. This verifies the policy in a way everyone can agree on.. For the record, that night we got five rainbows.. I tended to get them, but I made the stipulation, to keep things fun, to distribute rainbows if I found them. |

/g r works well also and doesn't use a waypoint scroll everytime...I know only one person has to use it then everyone else can just go to:) Gary -------------------- Bogey ~ Warmanger Steele - Lvl 20-something Ranger We are all one race.... I personally set an area where they should stand...like on or near the portal for next area...that way they can run to town to sell things if they need....but I normally run mostly lowbies through stuff like sissi and chief |

what if some 1 needs to goto town to make room and then every 1 else goes to town and u reset b4 they get the rest of thier stuff? in every grp i have ever run i simply tell ppl, say "r","rdy", or "ready"...i wait til every 1 does, and then i reset. if ppl can run to a place and/or port to town than they should be able to type too, this also encourages communication between grp members imo just my 2 cents |

Always best to simply ask, IMO. Rather than relying upon everyone to automatically understand and agree to an unspoken, undefined "signal" that some newcomer might NOT EVEN KNOW ABOUT. |

silly question, but how is it people are able to reset, then go right back to the boss room?. when i reset an area, I cant access it, I have to start from the 5th floor etc. |

Paradeux - when you reset an instance, you're able to return to the zone inside the last 2-way portal through which you passed. Example: If you physically passed through the portal from Algernon 7 into Sissirat's Lair AND that was the last 2-way portal through which you passed, you could reset the instance and teleport directly into the lair. If you go to a party member or if you use waypoints, those don't count for reseting instances. It has to be the last 2-way portal you physically passed through. -------------------- ~Ripper Complainers of the World Unite NOT Ripper in game... NOT McGee in game... NOT TheRipper in game...
