AoE R.I.P.

Well, it's dead. Spirit of Hare won't run you through one bunch of mobs, but we still have +%speed, so that's OK. AoE spells only hit a handful of mobs, in short range, but the new AI keeps mobs away from you and out of range, so the best I could do was hit 3-4 with 50 mobs around me. That was the goal tho, slow down the journey to 100, so it's overall very nice, but... Mages already couldn't boss run for beans (that's why you only see warrior and ranger 100's) so it looks like we'll be seeing a lot of warriors and rangers under 100 till the patch after this  Should be interesting. -------------------- Yes, that Duncan from Lineage2/L2DP |

each to there own man find a way of making the game work for you. Yes aoe is nerfed and hare is terrible they wanted to kill off the fact that since the last update there has bin upwards of 50 new lvl 100s and its not so much because more ppl play. Its just because the aoe leveling was highly documented where to go how to do it and how fast it can be done. so my advice is find a build that suits you and keep quite so if it is powerful and quick u dont loose it in the next update pvp build included -------------------- Level 100 Mage foreva aint going ranger Possibly the greatest mage ever! |

All the level 100s that were AoErs are very lucky. |

Don't know how lucky we were. But it allowed me even with the limits I have on play time to make the run to 100. Of course I would have much rather had some of this new stuff instead of spending 40 lvls in a small side dungeon.... I am glad in a way, I play a fighter and was considering respeccing later in the game for faster XP, but then its almost cheating to change your native class just to use one method thats was obviously over powered. On a side note, I am not so sure I like the idea of being able to change into what ever class you want, I believe a class is for life, if you want a fighter and a mage then you should have to do two characters really. Its important for me personally that classes are equally balanced, I hate playing a character that I know is far weaker than some other classes as has been the case until now so I am glad AoE has been nerfed, no offense to those that dont agree. -------------------- I am Fump C:\DOS C:\DOS\RUN RUN DOS RUN Edited by Pigface (08/23/07 01:26 PM) |

dang and i was a mage ... ill cope i msotly only used lightning and shadow bolts anyways lol |

I'm all for the changes, and I too use a lot of shadow lightning, which turns out to be better then AoE in the new builds, so yay! But I am very glad I got some AoE in before they removed it, since I don't like grinding away on 1,237,500 "points" 5-10 at a time any more then anyone else does. -------------------- Yes, that Duncan from Lineage2/L2DP |
