Actually bosses scale up to level 105. At 100 I have red bosses so if I brought a level 1 in with me they would be 104 levels above them.

What boss exactly? Embrace SQ and Aba are both Orange, so are Korglug and Tugtor in HDoL 3. Don't remember HDoL 6 SQ but I'm pretty sure she has always been orange as well.

HDoL 6 shadow queen was red over the weekend for me. Cant remeber what Abby was I will check next time I run him. I usually run bosses on Insane but am pretty sure this does not affect color of bosses.

No this is incorrect, only possible thing is that their armor is colored a bit like that, but not their name shown itself.

So basically both normal mobs and boss mobs have the same colour coding that is mentioned above?

And btw, thanx for this info, without it earlier today I would have been very confused as I leveled 13 in algernon 1, the mobs turned green, I went out for a sec, went back in and they were yellow again. Do they ever become grey? Or is it that a lvl 100 player can go into algernon and find lvl 100 wargs for example?

They go grey when you are more than 5 levels above the max dungeon level. For Algeron you stop getting experience over level 25.

Someone said to me yesterday that Boss mobs also have a different colour coding according to [insert here] (?) the damage they deal? So,

green = poison
purple = shadow
red = fire

are there any more kinds?

(this is a bit confusing)

No! Thats very incorrect!
