The "Builds/Help with Builds" thread

Just started playing this game after I found out about it on Gamespot. Decided to play my favorite class, the ranged death dealer. Ive played D2 for years and this game seems to be alot like it which totally rocks. Im carrying over a bit of my D2 experience so I know that how you choose to distribute your stats can make a big difference after you've reached lv 80 or so. The build/setup Im working on I guess would be a straight up PoisonBow Ranger build. I'll post my current build strategy in a moment. Since Im still lv 10 and just started playing 2days ago;Im wondering what else is out there that people with more experience have found. |

Here is what I found playing a 'Poison Ranger'. -The slower the weapon = more stopping power. -The faster the weapon = quicker spell reload time. -Poison strength comes from INT., so a pure AGI build is not effective here. -Fighter class armor really helps when all ur points have been spent into AGI and INT. This is more a hybrid post, but I find mixing my ranger with mage gives me more mana for gaseous blast, RoF and Shadow Lightning. |

So from what I've heard so far there seems to be to primary ranger builds atm Crit Ranger PoisBow Ranger Any other Ranger based custom builds being used by the higher levels? |

I dont know how much faster, as I have re-classed to Mage.... So a little experiment. I've got it down to where I use the exact same build for my warrior or range. str = 10 agi = 470 end = 55 int = 10 weapons are all piercing 4 rb 1h'ers (2 Skulliosi, 2 Moonglaze) Tuning Fork for 2h'er, what ever bow i can find. 3 armor sets, 1 to look cool in(dark plate), warrior to fight abbie in, ranger to play with... i try for either +melee, +piercing or +crit on all of it Gary -------------------- Bogey ~ Warmanger Steele - Lvl 20-something Ranger We are all one race....
