I assure you its not a backdoor attempt at forcing pvp, I dont pvp at all I just think it would be cool to have to watch what your doing rather than simply spamming.

Adds a whole new level of interaction if your watching your allies at the same time as your watching your enemies, and isnt that what hack/slash games are based on? Constant interaction rather than watching your guy execute everything.

Anyways its just a discussion, I dont think dungeon runners would be a good candidate to implement it for pve as enemies travel way to fast and lack collision detection, but on something like diablo 2 it would be sweet.

well they could add add add options for pvp

a damage-all-targets options would appeal to hardcore crowd
-along with a one life / last man standing format

the possiblities are endless
-but coding takes time

Something Ive never seen in an mmorpg is friendly fire...

UO used to have it. There are too many sociopathic people and stupid people in the world to allow friendly fire in MMOGs. In an FPS, you can get away with it, though.

I think in an shooter style game, friendly fire makes sense. Tabula Rasa should have friendly fire. Exteel should have friendly fire. I don't think this game fits the friendly fire bill.

well with exteel you can use the advanced targeting hardware
- for an excuse to NOT have FF

but then again..it could be added there also
-as a toggle option in room for more serious players

i had aslo made the suggestion on boards b4 the sealed up
-for explosions that dmg ALL nearby on mech destruction
-would make for some interesting fights

Could also make players spread out more in battle. not a bad idea. Could be interesting.
