Somewhere between level 25 and 30 you will have finally made your way into the the Mutanous Malaise, and get to take a crack at the repeatable Sitar Hero quest.

While a very simple game, it is a pretty decent reward for the effort required. There are no mobs to kill (aside from getting TO the game) and it only involves clicking on dots rolling down a playing field. Which is where I uncovered a method for farming these dots.

1. Take the Sitar Hero Medium quest (after completing the easy).
2. Make your way to level 3 of the Mutanous Malaise, and seek out the Sitar Hero pillar.
3. Get into the game, and choose one single color to click on. DO NOT LOOT THE DOTS.
4. When the game is over, exit the game, and re-enter. The unlooted dots will remain on the ground.
5. Repeat this until there are around 100 dots on the ground (more or less, doesn't really make a difference). Loot all of them at once.
6. Go on to the next color.
7. When you get all 3 colors, Waypoint out (in the dungeon, not the game, this is important) and hit the quest turn in. Turn the quest in, get the same quest again, immediately turn it in, repeat until out of coins.

You will be able to stack 27 coins into one slot, so you can really stockpile these. If you loot 10, you will lose the ability to click on the dot during the game, but if you save them up without looting, you can take a ton of them to the quest giver at once. You do get a better reward for high difficulty (more gold on turn in) and expert (3 kc's per turnin), but you have to drag more coins in, and the game is faster, making it tougher to accumulate them quickly.

I can rack up 100 of each dot in roughly 15-20 minutes, give me 5 minutes to get back to the quest giver and turn them in, resulting in 10 coins per 30 minutes. I don't know of any other farming method that gives you more coins than this, especially since one you get started, you never fight anything.

Malaise is the most generous overall with KC - and I did pick up on what you describe. It's a shame that you can't be sure what you are going to get with KC. I'm hoping there will be more options for them in the near future.

I also did this when I was in MM so I just want to add one thing about picking them up. I found that if I left them on the ground too much then it interfered with my clicking of the Disks for the quest (instead I was picking up dots). The easiest way to fix this is to turn of the click to pick up items in the options menu (you may have done this but forgot about it). Or of you don't want to do that simply loot the dots when they are piling up too much and drop them outside the portal to Sitar Hero.

On a side note..for those interested you can also do this with the "easy" sitar hero quest if you need CASH...you get 24k the first time and only about 8k the successive times, but east easy version of the game is in level 1 so the walk is very short and it's a good way to earn a quick extra 50k for that new skill you want.

^^ in this same line you can also pick up the dots and drop them...since they stack into piles in your inventory, you can collect 5 dots..then drop them into ONE pile of "dotsx5"

u can also pick up all the diots and then drop them, the game will continue to let u click the notes as long as the quest is not complete...

it is same with all quests, the game will contineu to give u quest items until u have hit the max, also a way to shroten quests in some quets the last (eg) fish or two are supposed to be friop champions or heroes simply drop some fish and it will go abck to dropping on almsot every kill.
