You will need to find an image that you want as an avatar. Either something you created, a screen shot, or what ever interests you. From that point you will need to crop and/or modify the image to the size of 80x80 pixels.Once that is finished, upload to a spot on the internet and get the URL to the image. Go into your account preferences and put the URL in the spot for the avatar. Once saved, you're done. I hope that is helpful enough. I can't get it to work, either. I've tried several times over the course of the month to get it to accept the link to my avatar, but it just never works. After I hit "submit", the page just sits there and thinks and thinks and thinks....and never updates my avatar. I leave it and go do something for 15 mins, come back and it's still thinking. I use highspeed internet, so that's not an issue. I've been using Firefox. I may have to try it in IE and see if that makes a difference. |

It does the same thing to me it will sit there for as long as I let it. What I generally wind up doing is letting it think for a minute or so, then navigate away from that page, and then back and it is generally there. Yeah, I've navigated away and came back but it wasn't there. I ended up just giving up. Hmmm..I've been trying to use Photobucket. I bet I do have some space with my ISP, I just never gave it any thought. I'll check and see if I do. That may make a difference. Thanks! |

i had problems using photobucket, try another image host and make sure to get the "direct link" not forum code or anything like that. |
