i hear folks saying they have had rainbow items drop for them . well ive been playing nearly 5 weeks now and am a lvl44 mage and HAVENT HAD ONE rainbow item drop . ive played for hours and not seen diddle squat ! i must be the unluckiest person playing :eek:

meh.. i got 14 rainbows :p, other then that you need to give it time dude once u get ur first they will start coming more often. ;)

i have no idea how they determine it...i'm lvl 31 and I have one rainbow....

The whole Rainbow system is unbalanced and to say once you get your 1st rainbow they start comin more often is a load of bull - lvl 69 and 5 rainbows - what lvl are you to say you have 14 I might ask ?

I've only gotten one rainbow outside of HDoL. Of course I've never farmed bosses. HDoL just has 2 heroes and 2 champions per a room so you run into them often enough that your chances of rainbows are higher. Outside of HDoL you run into 4-5 bosses per a map. So its understandable if you did not run into one doing that.

I'm level 23 now and I have found 2 rainbows. Time played 1 day, 14h and 39 min.

first one was a drop somewhere in Algor's Terror Dome, just 10-15 minutes after I bought membership. :)

and I found Demon Sniper last night in HDoL.

I was actually in your shoes. Farming bosses hundreds of times was very profitable gold and KC wise but no mythics! Then, on a lowly "boss" creature in HDOL there lay an absolutely useless mythic guitar. I think this was back at 46.

i am sorry about your luck..... i just wanted to tell you i am Lvl 29 and didn't get mine till lvl 28 and i farmed and farmed for it.

Jinxed and Eldritch are both lvl 100's so they are rainbow magnets:)
I've had probably 10 drop for me and had about twice that amount given to me by others. I think I've got 7 or so banked for when I hit 93+.
I've given away at least a half dozen including my very first which was a xbow.

Trust me they come eventually.

To be honest, rainbows aren't all that great. I've found 5 but only been able to use one of them. And it was fugly so I sold it. :P

Guess I'm just cursed. 24+ hours of farming Queen results in less than 20 rainbows.

I found less than half a dozen rainbows 1-100.

I gave up on farming the Queen when I went over 2 hours without finding a rainbow. Why would any developer starve their players so? 25+ hours of being level 100 and I'm wearing 2 rainbows. That's at about 40 RPH. :mad: I'd like to find my own gear, not have it given to me. Does that really mean I'm going to have to kill the Queen 4000+ times?

Yea, Its all luck. Don't bother farming for them , just go about your biz and they will eventually drop.

Use reverse phsycology on the system and "/s I am not farming for rainbows." Then maybe the'll drop :P

Many rainbows are useless to your current class, respeccing is no answer for anything. And the rainbows that match your class often are of poor quality, about as good as the purple or even yellow stuff you find. Even if they are good, after a few levels they are obsolete anyway. And they don't even look cool.
So, don't worry about rainbows. Don't make your game experience solely depending on how much of them you find. Have a good time playing, thats all. ;)

I was level 45 or 46 before I found a rainbow. Now at level 63 I think I have found 2 more.

Don't feel too bad, it is just the way it is, lots of people don't find that many.

But I think I know what you are talking about, it can get a little discouraging to hear people talk about how many rainbows they have found when we have found so few.

Oh well, just remember when you get to lvl 90 your chances increase a little bit so that will help.

I on the other hand has trouble with the rainbow drops as these are in the category MYTHICAL (spelled right? no matter you know what I mean..), this mean that these items SHOULD be EXTREMLY RARE! MYTHICAL... think about it. Songs should be song about them, ledgends told. EVEYBODY has them it seems, me included (I use 3 atm, and has 2 away, and was give 2). First problem is that these MYTHICAL items are not as some correcly has said not always that hot. Plus whats the fun for players if the can find any at all.... hmmmm. What could be done? make some artifact items?

Hmmm not good enough answer for me. This is a forum, where we as players can discuss the game. Im not really worried, That might have been the wrong word, im really just stating that maybe we (me included, im a rainbow-freak as anybody here :)), should look at the rainbows as extremly rare, mythical, and not expect to wear all rainbows at lvl 50.... I mean what is the point in them being mythical. I read about this ring once... one ring to rule them all... a truly mythical item...

well im back to tell yas all that i still dont have a single rainbow item drop , this despite playing on formidable . i have however got two skilbook tomes that have dropped they are for lvl48 though and im only 45 atm. rainbows however still remain unobtained .

Played this game for 5 months before I found my first rainbow. Since then I've found 2 more. Two others were recently given to me. Of the 3 that I found, only 1 was used. First was sold, second I'm wearing, third was given away. The two I was given I am not high enough a level to wear. So they are in the bank.

In short, relax. They are ultra-rare for a reason. They will not always be appropriate for you. For those of you who played WoW and other MMO's, how long did it take for you to get those leggings of uberness from that boss in buttcrackland?

How many oranges did you find there? Myself.. I have only seen one and it was on someone I didn't know.

In short, be happy that they are dropping. For those who haven't found any that you can use, relax... it will happen. If not, trade with someone who has one you can use.

I am level 72 and I have found almost 2 dozen and given atleast a 3/4 of a dozen away. I have worn out several (then sold them) and banked others. they will come in time. it may not be what you want or what you need or even an upgrade but they will come.

Dont worry im level 33 and i only have 3 rainbows, none of which are what i need :eek:

ditto... i was 19 or 20 joined a snowchief group for the first time (insane i presume) and then i heard "hey, you got a rainbow" and someone griped about "what a waste" for a rainbow on a free account and all that...

so i flipped it without bothering to look at it, and someone grabbed it up. =P

woot well it finally happend i got a one handed rainbow axe weapon it came as a loot drop (not a chest) on lvl1 of the embercore path . btw can anyone offer tips on how to defeat the mobs at the end of this lvl7 i git my botom whupped despite having nearly 500 fire resists and spamming health potions like crazy i just dont seem to be able to dish out enough dmge to kill em

kill the chick first, you have to kill her like 4 times, but she is the healer.

1) Grats on your rainbow!

2) Regarding Abaddon, everybody has a different style. Personally, on my level 65 ranger, I do the following:

* Set difficulty to Extreme
* Have Fire Ward passive slotted
* Enter battle and pop fire resist (brings my resists to ~1100)
* Use acidic blight
* Pop Trigger Finger Frenzy
* Unload on Abaddon with everything I've got, completely ignoring his goons
* When he starts to cast his Meteor Shower spell, attempt to knock him down with Shadow Word Smackdown - if I succeed, it interrupts the spell.

Normally, I'll have him dead in under 60 seconds. Then again, I have some nice gear (I do ~4480 dps in this encounter) and over 10k HP. I do use pots, but not too many.

ya its a bit different with ripper who is a beast, but if you have the lower dps and lower armor, you have to kill that chick or she will totally nullify any damage you do do abbadon

Case in point, I swapped all Ulrich's ranger gear for my alternate fighter gear and got pwned....

There is another way to deal with abbadon which I did after getting killed repeatedly. Get help from a high level, a nice level 100 just ran in a beat him to a pulp :)

Anyway We were stunned when we met him. We couldnt find out what happened (everthing happens so fast, im an old man...), we didnt get killed but this chick was really annoing. I found out she was the only one who did not heal, so she must be the healer, but when we killed her she just popped up again! Man we were frustrated. But at some point we apparently killed her 4 times. And later there were peace in the world...oh I might have overdone that... thx baylord for confirming the 4X kill. I did not keep track...

I never said it wasnt a cheap trick and it serves Abbadon right for being immune to virtually all of my attacks :(

Here's a (crappy) video I just created this morning. I was able to kill Abaddon in about 59 seconds (I can do it in as little as 40 seconds) on Extreme difficulty. As a bonus, look at teh item that dropped from the last chest I looted!

Regarding Abaddon,

He will cancel his Rain of Fire spell early whenever he changes targets or gets knocked down. As a ranger, I will aggro him with Monster Bait first (without Extra Crispy passive), then immediately run in. Doing this makes his use Fire on the Bait, which is quickly dispatched, then he cancels the fire a second or two later because it dies or I've gotten close to him. Then just use Acidic Blight and fire away.
This works well when your Fire resist buff isn't available and you'd rather not spam a dozen potions.

I get about 3 a day in 4 hours of game play. Couldnt find the post. But it was said ater level 90, the rainbow drop rate goes up bunches and bunches and bunches of bunches.

Just put in the work. They will come.

1 normal, 4 formadable, 1 the lv up from form.....

3 rainbows.... 2 usables by me, Skulliosis lvl 100 and a Circus Ring lvl 100.. other was some ranger boots... don't remember the name
also got a missing piece of my dark plate lvl 100 boots that were a purple...

but other than the 1 rainbow i got around lvl 80 something which i think was a plate piercer. these are my first one's in like 40 something lvls.

Its called axion, are RBs randomly generated or are they truly unique?

The type of item is not truly unique (there's more than one "axion" out there), however you would be hard pressed to find someone with a rainbow like yours with identical stats (level, speed, damage, bonuses).

I found a demon sniper at level 20 and used it for about 5 levels. I'd like to find another for level 45.

Thanks, I wasnt sure if it was like diablo, uniques had the same stats so 2 "axions" wouldve been identical.

If you had 2 Axioms that are the same level they will have identical stats. Each rainbow has specific stats related to that name that scale with level from level 10 to 100. So a level 100 Axiom will have higher stats than yours but the type of stats.

I should know, I've found the exact same rainbow twice. One at my level, one found below my level a week later. Called Soreone's Ego.

I'm lvl 46 and have had at leat ummm, 27-35 rainbows no joke.
