Stat generator Program
#29940 - 07/20/07 07:03 PM |
I finally got the HP part to work, hope this help some of you. http://www.enchantedstar.com/DRstatv1.zip I am still working on putting a +HP,MP feature for xtra items that give you a HP,MP bonus. Also working on adding feature to calculate your base stats + buffs in your hotbar. Until then enjoy! -------edit--------- I fixed the things Flydd mentioned below, but the Def formula still is 1 or 2 pts off no matter how I feed in the equation. I think that is pretty decent for the time being. Maybe other things will even out once I start adding the passive buffs. Also changed the Attack rate to attack rating, and Base stats now reads "Attributes". -------------------- FireX |

I went ahead and downloaded this, but I'm not quite sure what I should be taking away from reading my output. Could you explain it a little bit? -------------------- Level 60 Poison Ranger "Got more funky styles than your laser jet got font" |

@OP "Attack Rate" is a bit misleading. It should be "Attack Rating". "Base Stats" is also a bit misleading. Also, given that the damage formulas aren't accurate, is there any point in adding that part yet? And my armor calculation is off by two. 1993 from armor and 180 str = 3480 in-game, but 3478 in the calculator. (lvl 23) |

I may produce an old fashioned C++ or fortran program to do all the calculations when I have finished the equations as they have the bet algerbraic system from my experience. -------------------- Flydd, semi retired mage currently at the long dark teatime of the retirement castle |

I just put in the attack stuff to have there when those formulas are figured out, because It saves me some coding later. -------------------- FireX |

I am going to use matrices in my program to represent the passives that effect HP and MP. I dont know how to manipulate matices in VB so I will be using C++ or FORTRAN. It just means the program is going to be command line based as I havent done any fancy graphical interface coding in either of them before. -------------------- Flydd, semi retired mage currently at the long dark teatime of the retirement castle |

Hm. I've been planning to do one in Javascript, but I've only figured out a handful of the formulas at present. |

If you end up doing the C++ thing, send me the script. Im trying my best to learn it, so I can go to C# language. -------------------- FireX |
