What is the best damage spell?

I am a warrior but want to kind of hybrid into a battlemage. I was wondering if the experienced mages in the forum could give me a little advice on which skill to build up? |

well, depends what you mean by "highest damage" for a start. for example, do you mean highest single damage to a target? or highest dps taking into account aoe and stuff? |

Dunno, maybe shadow bolt theoreticly could be higher damage... But they tend to miss alot (hitting walls and such) so i neve bother with them. -------------------- Jinxed - Lvl 100 -------------------- |

I have a level 57 Warrior right now. For the last week I have been collecting purple Mage Gear. I would also like to become a "Battle Mage." I see a lot of Mages running around in the Red/Blue armor. What is this? i have found the boots for it several times. And i have a cool blue hat. I just can't seem to find the armor. Any suggestions as i make the transition? Well...If u wanna respec urself as a battlemage..it'll be quite hard coz..u'll need lotsa level points...Being battlemage needs agi,end,str,and int (All). I'd say ur strength and intellect shud b same, endurance slightly lower than str and int and lastly some agility with whats left.Being battlemage is hard..I've tried b4 lol...U shud be one.But well I'm not stopping you =p -------------------- Mage Ownz You

Why not go Battle Mage that just skips Str? I know that sounds odd, but why not just rely on Str from EQ, and pump up your Agi/End/Int...Agi to hit, End for hp, and Int to up your spell damages...then rely on the Divine powers and your AoE mage skills. |

i do mage build with a good warrior chest piece(rest mage gear) seem to work with good passives. if anything you last a lil bit longer in insane groups -------------------- FireX |

(after all, only 25% comes from level up, rest from equipment...). So when I say skip str, it involves getting agi/end/int gear instead. mainly im a mage but mana drains fast so i would say ice bolt i think its something like 35-245 at lvl 3 -------------------- NotoriousX |

im free to play and everything i have is the crystal armor but my helm and its all 200-300+ (im lvl 17) and its all +17 end or something and i use lightning mostly and still lose mana even waiting while it charges -------------------- NotoriousX |
