Some Questions
#28029 - 07/08/07 02:04 PM |
I just have some quick questions 1.What does Hdol/AoE mean? 2.Can u buy other skills than your class? 3.How much def you need to make most enemies do 1 dmg to you? 4.I know this sounds silly but can a lvl 18 solo vergrim's lair( i tried but didn't work)? And what level to solo the boss? ![]() |

AoE stands for Area of Effect, and it refers to skills that affect enemies within a certain area, like Ring of Fire. |

1) Horrific Dungeon of Legend / Area of Effect (refers to spells that damage mobs within a defined area of effect) 2) Yes - you can also mix-and-match passive skills 3) Defense doesn't lessen damage. Defense lowers your chance of being hit. If you do get hit, you will still take damage. Likewise, Attack Rating increases your chance to bypass a mob's defense and hit it... 4) Maybe - depends on your build and resists. Vergrim is a tough mob for most players. Having Divine and Fire resist helps, as does Thickheadedness... |

i solod him at lv 22 with thick headedness fire resistand my strongest 1 person spells for my fighter weapon (aka soulrend) but kill blademasters first then kill vergrim but dont use any aoe spells or attack the broodlings as they explode and knock u down -------------------- "light flashes, blood falls, death pierces the darkness!" |

Vegrim is very annoying for mages. I managed him at about lvl 25 first time but the subsequent times it was a nightmare and I used that many pots it was absurd. Best thing to do is ensure you have some divine and fire resists and just go in with your strongest single target attacks, take down the blademanster champions and then vegrim. Righteous stomp can be useful in this fight as it sends the little rats flying giving you some breathing space. Thickheadedness is a must in this fight otherwise you get stunned so much you die. |

When fighting bosses you always have the opportunity to ask players if they will help you if you are having a hard time (alot of people do this, no shame). Sometimes ppl your own lvl will join you and the you can give the boss what he/she/it deserves . And sometimes you will be offered help from a higher lvl ppl and the fight will be over fast . I have helped only once, but plan to help more in the future, you just have to ask and not get mad when rejected .-------------------- Retired. But that does not mean you can keep me away from the community now and again.... |
