We will have several sections to the guide and most likely several post to the entire guide. Once those several post are made the index(which can be found below) will have direct links to the page the post is on.

Overview

Starter's Guide:

Many of you playing Dungeon Runners, or prehaps even still downloading it, are probably new to the MMORPG genre. MMORPG, or Massively Multiplayer Online Role-Playing Game, is one of the biggest game genres on the market currently. A lot of you have probably heard of these MMORPGs, such as World of Wacraft and maybe even RuneScape, before. The idea of an MMORPG is to level up your character as you get him new gear, money, and overall progress your character(for more on character progression follow the directions from the index). You will find yourself fighting monsters and creatures of all types within the magical world of Dungeon Runners, and you will need to be prepared, especially if you have never played an MMORPG or RPG before. To start off, you will need to level to be successful in Dungeon Runners. This is done by killing hundreds upon thousands of monsters in your playing lifetime. But, this isn't the only thing you need to be successful. You also need money. Money, an be obtained from doing quest and selling the items you get that monsters drop(often monsters will also drop money themselves that you can pick up). Money, unlike most games, is used not to buy better items or gear, but to buy skills. At first you may wonder why you have so much money, but it will become clear once you start buying the higher level skills. To obtain gear, you find it from chest, monsters may drop it, and sometimes you can on occasion buy it from a vendor(but I wouldn't really on vendors very much). You will need to explore a lot in this game. Exploring finds new areas to kill monsters, towns to sell and buy and commune at, and most importantly, you'll find the dungeons by exploring. Dungeons are the special areas where monsters are usually very tough and give better items then your common creature. An example of one of these dungeons, is the Horrific Dungeon of Legend(HDoL). You will need parties to complete some of these dungeons. To group with other players you simply right click their name and click "Invite to Group" as long as they have their "Allow anyone to invite me to a group" options toggled on. So, all in all, you will need to kill monsters, quest, and use grouping to your advantage, to be successful in Dungeon Runners. These few things are the basics in the game to get you through from level 1-100.

Combat

Combat in the world of Dungeon Runners is very important. You will find you'll be doing combat with the various monsters in Dungeon Runners more then anything. Whether to get exp(experience points), or to find new items and money to use, you will be doing it a lot. You simply click on a creature to attack it, and hold down the button you use to attack(default Left Mouse Button) to keep on attacking it, without having to click the button over and over. You can only attack creatures that when you scroll your mouse of them, the hand turns into a sword icon. There are many creatures in the world of Dungeon Runners, and they can be found when you walk through portals from towns and other bases, into the instanced areas. Just like other MMORPGs like Guild Wars, everything but towns are instanced, meaning, only you, and the people in your group, can go into an area outside of the towns together. As you find new weapons and armor and level up, you will be able to defeat stronger monsters and go to new areas. So don't waste time, get killin'!

Quest

Quest are the main income of large amounts of money and King's Coins(we'll explain more about King's Coins later on). You get quest by talking to various NPC's(Non-Player Characters) with large exclamation marks above their heads. Accept the quest will add it to your inventory, where the objective will be completed, once it has been done. Declining a quest will leave it, making it so if you do that quest objective, you will not get credit. Quest Legend: A large yellow exclamation marks above an NPC's head means he has an available quest for you. A large yellow question mark above an NPC's head means he has a quest that you have completed, that you can turn in. A large silver question mark above an NPC's head means he has given a quest to you, but you still haven't completed it's objective.

Character Progression

As you fight monsters, do quest, get new gear and level up, your character will progress through the game. Your character progresses through the game by leveling up and building your character. As said before, you fight monsters to level up. You do quest to get money, and to get new gear you buy it or find it off of creatures you have killed. As you get better gear, level up more, and explore more areas, your character will slowly but surely progress from level 1, all the way to level 100. So if you feel it's taking too long sometimes, or you just feel like you will never get there, don't give up! MMORPG's are tough, and it takes awhile to get to the max. Thankfully, Dungeon Runners is a casual MMORPG and you don't have to spend hours upon hours on it each day, just to make it in an ok amount of time.

Ok guys, more to my guide will be added later, but for now I need to take a break. See ya soon(comments are appreciated)!

Skills
Skills in the game of Dungeon Runners are very important. We will not be covering build skills though(the ones you use to put into your characters build to increase various attributes), these skills are the spells within the game Dungeon Runners. There are three different archtypes for the game Dungeon Runners. Fighters, Mages, and Rangers. Under these three archtypes many classes can be built from the Paladin to the Arcane Vanquisher. Though, each of these sub-classes comes from one of the main archtypes. As Paladins come from the Fighter archtype and Battlemages can come from the Mage archtype(although you can come from any archtype and switch to any class if you wish, it's just more expensive). Skills can be learned from the three trainers in Townston. There is a Fighter trainer, Mage trainer, and Ranger trainer. For your sub-class you will want to see the trainer of your archtype or maybe even various ones if your a hybrid class(like the Arcane Templar). Skills or if you will call them spells are what helps you to fight. While pure fighters like Barbarians will rely on brute strength most of the time, they still use different abilities while fighting.

Gear

Gear is important in this world of monsters. It provides defense, and increases your abilities. Fighters will most likely want gear with lots of strength, endurance, agility, and defense rating on it. Although, some fighters(like the Paladin) might want strength, intellect, agility and endurance on their various parts of armor. Mages will most likely want lots of intellect and endurance while Rangers most likely want lots of intellect, and agility. But overall, gear is prehaps the most important aspect of Dungeon Runners, as without it you would be nothing.

More to this part of the guide coming soon.

I think after this guide is done I'm going to take the information from it and re do it with the map I made(working on) and with 10x the info so its really more of a guide with a walktrhough then just a starters guide.

Hi Arklite. I like what you are doing here. There are sometimes terms one encounters , and if you're new to MMORPG's , like me...they confuse a person. For instance, I see the word "farm" used. How does one farm a monster? Everybody is assumed to know the term. Since joining, I have gone my merry way into dungeons, mostly solo, and am now 36th lvl. But I prob could do better, if I knew how.
