They can do whatever, I don't mind...

But I think it's extremely unfair that these lvl 100's are walking around now and we have to work 10x as hard to accomplish the same thing...

How do you have to work any harder?

Most level 100's I know or see in game earned that level 100 the same way you can, by playing the game.

What it sounds like is now you'll have to work harder as you don't have some one of a higher level playing the game for you.

Official test results have come in. Turns out that the best way to level your toon to 100, get the phat loot, and lots of gold is to get in a dungeon and start killing things.

I know that this comes as a shocker... I know I never expected such results but it's true. I tried it last night and found out that I could level my toon. Along the way I started getting loot. Some of it was good and the gods smiled. Others, not so good and they were given to the alchemist. But then a miraculous thing happened. When I gave her the not so good items she returned the favor with gold. I nearly fell over with shock.

I did not realize that there was such a system in place to meet my gaming needs for now. Granted, I am in no hurry to reach level 100. So I think I might need to slow down my progression. I mean, doing too many dungeons and I might make level 100 too quickly and then what will I do? Wow... the paradigm.

hehe Yup, shocking that the devs of DR actually want you to play the game to lvl your character. Oh noes, not play it! I like the way they handled the PLing issue here, it allows high lvls to still group with others and everything is still fair, in fact I took a lvl 14 to shadow's pinnacle today just to show him hehe and it was fine, everything was all scaled nicely to his lvl for him, and mine for me. Good job devs on a PL solution both simple and effective at the same time

It's a shame that some people can't just play a game. They always look for the easy way, be it cheat codes, hacks, or power leveling. That kind of stuff ruins the game for me because I don't feel any sense of accomplishment.

under the new rules, if i'm lv 42 (which i am) and i find my way into the "recommended for lv 50-65" dungeon and manage to kick a little gluteous, i only get lv 42 experience?

if that's the case, then yeah it sucks. it's pretty easy to play above your level in this game if you get a good group of players that team up well. Now there's no reason to do that AT ALL. the drops may be better by a smidge, but the xp bump you got was the real reason. therefore you can never get an experience incentive, only reduction.

so since i said something sucks i guess i should be prepared to get chased off. oh noes.

is that the only reason you played the game? for the sheer enjoyment? if so, then just restart at level 1 regularly. even tho damages and item buffs etc increase, the gameplay stays balanced and really doesn't get any more difficult at lev 90 vs lv 90 critters than lv 1 vs lv 1 critters.

or did you play to reach some goal? well now it's harder for everyone else to reach that goal. make yourself feel better by pegging it to someone elses jealously, but i'll bet you won't be resetting to level 1 anytime soon because you worked hard to get where you are, wherever that is.
