I think u shouldn't even bother farming unless ur farming easy bosses for good XP. I still switch equipment every day and im lvl 43. I think its only gets interesting on higher lvl's. Just my 2 cents

Maybe it's just a terrible run of bad luck but I'm currently level 44 and have run Frump over 100 times with no rainbows. And for those of you who think I'm exaggerating, I'm not. I switched to ranger to farm Frump in < 3 minutes before they "fixed" the boardroom. At 10 mil gold and over 400 KC I wish there were just some way to purchase the darn rainbows.

Oh and to make my luck even worse, I've cleared 4 levels of HDOL without a rainbow and also cleared an entire level on insane with no rainbows.

you a lil high for this place but i am lvl 28 and i farm sissirat and i got 2 rainbow in like 15-25 times its was on insane

Rainbows can be very rare. There are a number of players who have not found any that are around the same level as you. Farming a boss or HDoL is the best way, but if you have bad luck, it doesn't mean you will get one. Can only say to keep trying and I'm sure you will be rewarded.

I'm starting to suspect rainbow drops are completely random. I got my first rainbow on level 2 of Algor's Terror dome on my second time through the dome completing quests. It was a drop in a boss room, but it didn't necessarily come from the boss. I got my second one in a treasure chest from the Snow Chieftain after my umpteenth time through there, but my first time through running solo. Both times I was solo, never found rainbows in a group.

ive found 6 or so now, all but 1 in HDoL. About 1 every 4 (exp) levels or so

Grinding bosses have worked for me, i am currently wearing all rainbows aside from rings and shoulders and i have a few extra in the bank. so it just all about grinding.

Wish I could concur with the "grinding bosses" bit. I did about 20 insane frump runs and still nada. I finally got my first rainbow (a guitar/madolin thing) on the first level of HDOL from a "hero" mob.

I got my first one off snow chief run, but thats after like 40 or so runs over the course of two weeks. Freakin' ranger drop too, where is my mage rainbow staff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But at least in the process I got all the wiz gear

the devs said HDOL has the highest rainbow drop so take that for what its worth

Farming bosses is really a waste of time until you're a very high level 100 or more. Otherwise leveling up will give you access to better equipment then low level rainbows.

In my opinion, why farm bosses for rainbows? I mean, 9 out of 10 times its not for the class you are currently playing, and then 1 out of 8 or so it sucks also, and then you finally got one, huray! And you level further and its useless again, just wait until lvl 70+ and then start rainbow runs. Owh and yes, rainbows are random, in whatever way, there isnt a farming code like in some other games that the more you farm the less drops/the more drops if you dont get one.

Honestly I've got 2 rainbows at level 19 a cool shield I got at 16 and a sword I got at 18. By got I mean my wife and I was playing and they dropped for her. I've not gotten a single rainbow but I solo on insane and get TONS of purples. Ironically alot of times a equal level yellow can beat out a purple. I compare the stats and Have even found that my level 18 rainbow wasnt as good as my level 17 purple hammer. Reason I use it is because I dont want to hurt my wife's feelings. I'll change weapons at 20 or so when I find a good weapon in that range. The sword is WRATH and the shield looks like one of those police riot shields pretty cool looking honestly. Anyway dont feel bad if you dont get rainbow drops as long as your gear is good enough for you to coast through the missions your all good.

I myself like sticking around Cindercore 3 in HDoL. You get all the good grinding in one. Big stage so alot of mobs for chance of rainbow drops, which can come from a small chest too has happened to me once. There is a decent amount of chest in this stage and there are bosses which drop atlest 3 purples apiece. And while grinding for your items you will always get exp too. So this is my fav. grinding spot.

im no sure there is a best spot but my best luck has come from bosses on insane but i havent gotten to hdol yet either. also in my experiences rbs r blown up, msot of the one sive found werent that good and were easily beat out by purples even of same level, especially if you are a specialized character they can be equally useless.

Its completly random, i get more rainbows on normal at demonic crypts training than farming bosses.

Yes it is random but you have a higher chance of a rainbow from killing bosses than anywhere else. If you get more elsewhere it is dumb luck not statistics.

im pretty new to the game, but i'd thought id throw in my rainbow find. I'm lvl 16 and i found it in a chest in subterrania. It was a club. I ended up selling it because i was pretty desperate for money... im wondering if that was a bad idea.. lol. im a mage tho, and didnt know anyone that would use it.

I've gotten 4 rainbows in 67 levels.

2 were from a chest, the SAME chest.
1 was from Abaddon.
1 was a drop in normal difficulty while farming XP.

It's random. No really, it's random. No seriously, the developers even said so.

I've got 3 sissyrats staff from the heros in the crypts.
