First one is immune to shadow, second to ice. Ain't that hard. Just vary what type you use. Fire bolt works on both.

And when you finally reach Frump, use TURKEY LEG!! He so totally falls for it, rofl!

Shadow is virtually useless as the gatekeepers and Frump are either in the immune category or insanely resistant. I personaly go for the fire/Toxin/Divine attack, since my int is high enough to make divine rediculous. When actually fighting frum just let him back you into a corner, you don't fly as far and stand up quicker which equates to more time hitting him and less on the ground.

And he doesn't damage it either, just keeps knocking it down. Fighting him wasn't too difficult as a fighter with stun resist, but when I switched to ranger and got the idea to try a turkey leg, wow! Easymode.

I just use Thickheadedness on Frump , you still get knocked down but not all the time , some runs he never even knocked me over . But yeah fire and gaseous blast was my way of killing him .

Is Frump a good farm boss like Algor?

I, uh - actually went right past Frump. >_> Wondering if the increased difficulty is actually worth it. Bosses like Vergrim and Widower take too many pots and don't give enough loot.

Whereas... Algor is a great boss to farm. Even at higher levels.

Not got to frump yet but widower only made me use 5 major health pots and no mana pots. Less than for Algor. I just spamed ring of fire, gaseous blast and shadow bolt with my lvl 28 mage.
