So I was an end/agi poison ranger. It seems standard to split your points between endurance and your offensive stat of choice. So obvious it works and its strong.

Though after killing Widower at 21 I realized after some exploration that there was a gap in difficultly between widower and other dungeons. So I decided to respec.

Now one of the things I now love about this game is you can go 0 defense if you want. The extremes of customizability are crazy.

So I set about inventing the lightning ranger which is a true hybrid. Though I am sure it has been invented already =)

Now on the respec I am going to say I spent my points evenly between agi and int with 0 endurance but that hides the fact that I am sporting alot of endurance on my gear. So ill list my level 23 final stats instead of what I spent.

Str - 11
Agi - 222
End - 73
Int - 66

For passives I pick up one from each class so true hybrid action here:
Gym Freak, Average BMI, Bookworm, Trigger Happy
The Hp/Mana totals at those stats with those passives are:
Hp 3047
Mana 2281

For actives I use:
Left click: Shadow Lightning
Right click: nothing/Trigger Finger Frenzy experimenting with poison shot.
Gaseous Blast, Righteous Stomp, your choice (ae slow/Monster Bait [hey you have the mana to spam it now]), Trigger Finger Frenzy


The reliance on shadow lightning as the primary burn of mana as the left click is the second reason this is a hybrid and not a ranger.

Now the brilliance of this setup is how sweet shadow lightning is with range attacks when you have the mana to really pump it out. You dont sometimes cast shadow lightning. You have enough mana to hold it down and just archery between refrehes. Theres no dancing back and forth. The lightning finds its own targets so you can continue to arrow your priority target without lifting the mouse button. And the reason for lightning is the ranger AEs etc dont burn mana into damage fast enough to really work this set up.

All and all its a fun build. And while I prolly quaff healing pots a bit more then I did as an endurance [censored] I sure lay death in alot cooler ways.

Consider... the lightning ranger... freed from the bonds of endurance worship.
