Level 50 to 75 is VERY boring. Once a player completes their quests around 50 or so, all there is to do is grind a long slow boring grind to 75 before you get more quests. It doesn't matter to me so much anymore, but it would have been a lot more enjoyable trip if there had been quests between 50 and 75. I spent the entire time grouping HDOL or soloing in the crypts just to hurry up and get to more quests. I felt like I was missing something. Thanks

my suggestions [Re: #38081]
#38242 - 10/31/07 04:39 AM

sorry if I might repeat some already posted suggestions, but I didn't have time to read them all. so here it is my list (till now). the first one might be a bug...don't know:

- when you put 5 king’s coins over 7 king’s coin it should do a stack of 10 and one of 2 instead of just interchange them. then if I receive 20 KK then will be only one stack instead of 2 of 10. this is a good thing in my opinion but maybe this wasn’t intended. KK got from quest rewards should stack if they are less then 10.
- when you are not buying/selling: use the shift+ left or right click on the item in the inventory for something. F.e automatically equip an item or automatically drop an item when clicked on it, or something else
- the item should be equipped automatically in the designated slot. If for example somebody wants to put an amulet on a ring slot (by mistake) the item should automatically go on its designated slot
- stackable wp scrolls
- make color code for damage: green for poison, red for fire, blue for ice, etc. for combined damage just put the predominant damage (color) or let it white. This code is mostly important to see the damage that monster are doing. Not all the time (almost at the beginning) everyone knows from the beginning the monster attack types to put the proper resistances on them.
- the same color code could be make for the word ‘Resist’ so in this way everybody would know at what part of their attack is resistant that monster. This is useful when we have an attack that combines more elements. For example I cast gaseous blast and in the same time fire ring, then it appears the word resist and I want to at which element that monster is resistant: poison of fire. There are other examples also
- maybe add a little boost for the experience (+5% per difficulty level) or +2-3% per player join in the team. That would encourage people to play more at Insane difficulty and team-work, in the same time
- in the Character screen put both the left slot/click and right attack damage not only the left one. Also for mages put the damage that is done with the spell that is in right/left hand not the damage done with the the staff. No mage is fighting with the stick. That way would be simpler to compare damage and not have to go with mouse over the respective skill

Non-members should be able to use items they trade king's coins for. Make them soulbound or whatever. As it is, the coins are completely useless to me. Though I guess when advertising comes in (can't happen soon enough) that won't be as much of an issue.

I also want skills that work together. Like one spell that sets a creature on fire, and then a second spell that's like "Does AoE damage centered on nearby monsters that are on fire."

I think I'm going to say "more skills" again. Especially more at lower levels. More passives, too. One-Handed mastery, fire mastery, whatever. Boost that type of damage, penalize others.

I’m sure that they’ll add more things to with the KC…I would like a gambling/card game or something that would be nice…and would give a new meaning to KC…usually from Sam I get items that are worse than mines. Maybe if they would add a 0.5-1% chance for a rainbow that would boost up things.

Anyway play for now as a nonmember, but if you like the game it totally worths the 5$ per month. The game is changed completely. Around 4$/per month if you by the 3 month package and 3$ for the 6 month one. If you don’t have a visa card, I’m sure you have a friend that has one. I mean le’s face it…how much it’s a pizza…in my country is more then 5 bucks

FYI there is a chance of getting a rainbow from Sam. But it is only (last that was confirmed) a 1/300 chance or 0.33%.

Only been playing the game for a few weeks but I love it so far. Some suggestions I would have, and they are nothing major.
1: Turn the king coin exchange peeps into vendors with viewable inventory. So you can pick what you want.
2: Give other vendors more than one small page to sell me the goods. Also make their items refresh more often, I swear that same dagger has been for sale since I started.
3: Make loot stats more variable. Such as light armors having melee bonuses and heavy armors having magic bonuses -- not as good as full-fledged mage armor but a little something. You could add a whole new slew of animals!

As far as other suggestions that have already been brought up. I personally don't care for auction houses but secure trading is wonderful.

One notice. All the vendors got 3 tabs, one weapons, one for armor, and one for nonmember items. With that comes that when you're lucky, a nice lvl 100 will clear up the vendors, mostly level 100's got too much cash, can only spend on pots. (I spend 70 million to skills and got 90 million cash atm).

The only use for Weapons vendors is to sell to them when you are leaving Algernon or by the bank. Other than that, they are completely and utterly useless.
I have never bought a single item from them because I can go grind in a dungeon and get whatever they're selling within 10 mins without paying the incredible markup. Even if I did want to buy something from them they rarely even have something in the level I would need.

My suggestion: have the vendors items scale to the customer's levels. So the first vendor, any player that is level 1-33, the items would automatically scale up or down to his level. 2nd weapon vendor same for 34-66, and 3rd for 67-100.

I don’t give money for items. I prefer farming at a boss or something. My money go directly to skills as I’m a mage and use a lot of stuff.

Yeah something should be done with the vendors and using the money after a level. I liked the gamble option from Diablo2. maybe if we could gamble at some guy with a x% chance for a rainbow…that would be nice

Of course you observe my fixation to rainbows

There should be distinctively different mage skills available from pretty early on. Kind of like Diablo2, I guess, where you can pick a different approach. It's kind of boring only using firebolt and shadow lightning. The other elemental attacks (ice bolt, shadow bolt?) are, I believe, pretty much the same.

Perhaps increase the power/worthwhileness of shields? As a fighter it is pretty hard to give up that extra offense for a very small amount of defense. Maybe give us a shield skill where we run and jump on our shield, skidding across the ground, knocking down several opponents or something like that. Or we could just whack em with it. I do see more mages with shields than I do fighters, that aspect I am not familiar with.

Maybe make resistances gain bonuses from one of our stats? i.e. Every 10 points of endurance is +1% to all resistances. Something like that.

the skill you refer with the shield it's a good idea and its name would be: Bash. I would like better shields and a shield skill, as I'm a mage and I would like to use a shield, especially that it blocks spells to. this is something new in a game and I like it.

I'd go for a specific class of shield that could double as a weapon, albeit at a lower defense rating and damage range than a normal shield and one-handed weapon.

I see that they have hand drills and chain swords as weapons, so, maybe continue on with that theme and have this new class of shield be a giant circular saw blade?

That everyone who gives a suggestion to keep inmind the spirit of the game that the developers had intended.

In otherwords folks, their not going to make the game alot harder for anyone. Their NOT going to add PVP in the PVE world, and they are NOT going to add gold trading. Get used to it. They are also most likely NOT going to implement anything non-casual.

Ok, I think I finely found the correct thread to post this

Suggestion #1
As of build 98/100 Members now have 10 pots in a stack (Woot) But it still takes a good deal time to buy them 1 by 1. Any chance here of getting Audry to sell pots in full stacks? Stacks of 10's for member pots and 5's for non member pots. I really don't mind buying 3 odd pots to refill a stack but clicking for 5 min to refill my reserve when doing insane boss runs is getting annoying to say the least.

Suggestion #2
I know there is an entire thread on this but Abby really needs some work. I like solo and can do all the bosses on insane except for him. I have saved all the best mage gear and resist items and still can not get him lower than 20% or so. Maybe if killing his companions 2 or 3 times each would keep them dead would be a good idea here too. I could probably kill Abby on insane mode as he stands if I could just get rid of his entourage, that would just be insanely difficult instead of out-and-out impossible.

--------------------
And that is just my 2 cents and a haypenny.

There's a "Go To' function. There should be a 'Go Back' function. Yeah, it's a blatant potential exploit, but i'm lazy.

The "go back" function is the little picture of the scroll in the lower left of the screen in a circle - click it and a blue pillar of light with a circle comes down around you. When you click that, you go back to town.

That minigame idea is quite possibly the greatest idea ever posted in this forum.NCsoft development team: you must make this ingenious idea a reality, this one change chould make your game a million times better and even better yet it whould require minimal effort on your part. If you guys are working on the Guild system ( Whitch i and many others want so badly ) or a new armor set or summoning or a new dungeon, you can put those all on hold becuse that mini-game is a must have game inprovment.

wat us shadow mages REALLY need is pure shadow bonus Rainbow gear. Exactly like the "Death" set but shadow damage+ instead of fire. Also, it would be great if the shadow Rainbow set were to have a deep purple (like the shadow lightning colour) as the base colour, instead of the red that is on the Death set.

Hello,
Some are talking about PvP rewards.

Would it be nice if some rewards would be a set of items ?

(Like greens in DII)
More you got, more abilities there is.

The same system is applied.
(Items have 100 differents version, level 1, 2, 3, 4... 100)
So, if you are level 1, you receive an item level 1.

There is lot of different sets :

Fire Mage
Shadow Mage
Ice Mage
Fire-Shadow Mage
...
Warrior (shield)
Warrior (2 handed)
Warrior (1 Handed)
....
Paladin ...
Pirate ?
....
Rogues.. eh ?

You should have more dungeons for people who like to solo. And there should be more quests to make more gold.

exactly which dungeons ARENT for people who solo...

And there should be more quests to make more gold.

You make more gold in general farming and grinding than by quests in general already for the most part. The 5k gold reward offered by a lot of quests isnt that substantial. How much more "incentive" can be added to do quests before the whole game is just a series of quests - "xp cowbell" is already coming and well awaited. Gold is not of anyone's general concern that I have ever met, and if anything, we have more gold than we know what to do with. I made 1 mill just casually farming rotty over the last two days at lvl 55...
