1) Are any of you on college networks? 2) It may be firewall related, actually. If your firewall logged an event as an attack, it might block the executable from connecting through the internet. Try clearing your firewall log, checking the application rules for the dungeonrunners.exe and then stop and restart the firewall. |

[rant] I've been suffering from a similar (probably the same) moody bug. Before v.53 I used to play happily anytime I felt like it. After updating DR I started suffering from a "moody login"... what do I mean? Basically, sometimes it works and sometimes it'll refuse to work for no particular reason and nothing I try can fix it. Support people suggest it's either ones firewall, router, or network setup, that one should try firmware updates. I think it's bug in DR. And a very annoying one. I can guarantee that, at least in my case, its not the firewall, its not blocked ports and its not a faulty network setup. All is well on my end. I played fine for hours tuesday night, I just decided to try it again just for the heck of it... and it worked. Last night it was broken again. No one touches my PC, no one touches my network setup, and I didn't change anything, nothing was installed/uninstalled, no windows updates... nothing... either it's a real arcane, one in a million modem/router/network setup/firewall/solar flares/full moon combo or there's a nasty bug in DR... One doesn't just go about updating firmware cuz DR refuses to connect, specially when every other software works fine, including other online games... yup im having same problem also, cant log onto my Member's account either but i can on my Non-Member one, yet i was able to go on my Member's for the past week without any problems and just today i logged out, grabbed bite to eat, came back and couldnt log in, and World 2 just stayed at the Queud |
