Easily Grind Kings Coins
#18467 - 03/27/07 02:16 PM |
While in the lower 3 or 4 levels of Vergrim's Vexation you can easily get 1 king's coin every few minutes! Hughard the Arms Merchant in Townston offers the quest "Stolen Singing Swords" for the dungeon Vergrim's Vexation. This quest involves collecting 14 quest-dropped swords that you can loot from most of the creatures (if not all), thus you are able to collect all fourteen swords in minutes. The quest rewards you with one king's coin and 2750 gold. The quest can be done as many times as you like, so while I progressed through Vergrim's I ollected plenty of coins by continuously teleporting back to town to refresh the quest to start the process all over again. |

A Better way is to go lv2 and make the fish quest too. You take the sword quest and the 3 fish quests. Once you get the sword you just tp in town and drop them. The Fish Npc is in the lv2. -------------------- Sorry for my English, I am French |

there's also a schwag bag quest that's similar to the sword quest, but you need double the bags as you do swords... i just picked all of the quests up as i could and took in tons of coins |

there is also a repeatable audit quest from an npc on lvl 1 as well. However, I perfer to just do the swords and fish quests. Going down to lvl 1 and/or going across town to the lore master takes too long. Reseting the instance for lvl 2 over and over is quicker. |

Ok lvl 2 of Vergrim's Vexation is definatly the best place to farm Kings Coins, 1/ In town talk to Loremaster Vraile for the Schwag Bag quest you need to collect 11 off Shades, slow but its another coin while farming same area. 2/ In town talk to Hugard the Arms Merchant for the Antique Singing Swords quest you need 14, fast drop rate of any mob. 3/ In town talk to Audrey the Alchemist for the Vergrim's Fizzerator quest you need 12, fairly fast. 4/ In Vergrim's lvl 2 talk to Sir Tendewm for 3 different fish quests, all fairly fast, 4a/ Red Fish 13, 4b/ Blue Fish 7, 4c/ 1 Fish 9, 2 Fish 11 All these quests are repeatable and reward cash and Kings Coins. Also talk to the Townston Lieutenant for the Audit Vergrim's Vexation quest not sure if this is repeatable probally not but its an extra coin while in the same area. So thats at least 6 repeatable Kings Coin quests that can be completed just by porting backwards and forwards from Town and Vergrim's lvl 2. Also Ragic wrote, Quote:

Now that's something I am wondering about. I've just started playing and just got out of the newbie area last night. (Assuming Dew Valley is the newbie area.) I am in Townston and there are those guys offering to redeem the Coins for class-specific items that, as I recall, are 'at least yellow'. Now, I haven't done it yet because I know I can't use yellow items unless I subscribe. (And it was only my first day.) But do those items just suck, or something? What are the Coins supposed to be good for and why isn't it worth it? |

I find the KC gear in town is great for patching up a "hole" in your gear; if you just can't get a good helm to drop, for example. -------------------- Dooms Dungeon Runners QA To fight the bug, we must understand the bug. We can ill afford another Klendathu. |

I'd save all your coins till after you are 32+. The longer you wait the happier you'll be later on. |

Are these quests still repeatable? I completed the quests, but they give me another quest to collect more stuff and then no more quests after that. I know this is an older post, that is why I am wondering. Thanks. -Swiftfeet |

I speak for a majority of the high levels. At my level gear that you want is pretty difficult to find especially jewelry. In the earlier levels you are trying to get a feel for your playing style, skills, and build. At the higher levels you should pretty much know what gear you'll want to wear. KCs are another chance of trying to get those items as soon as possible instead of grinding especially after a respec to a different "class" (even though DR is classless)---eg. mage gear to ranger gear. We (100s) have also established a trading network where we tell each other what gear we are looking for. I can honestly admit that I wish that I still had all my KCs cause I still need gear. Hopefully the next patch will help the gear problem. |
