Error compiling shader?
#16876 - 03/08/07 11:06 PM |
Error compiling shader ./effects/2.0/Diff_BossGlow.fx. Try setting User.cfg[display] section to Pipeline=VFPF I'll make this simple. What is this and how can I fix it? Here's a screenshot of what's going on. Click here to view my windows/error |

I've also had this error, but only when I was trying to launch a second instance of Dungeon Runners. Typically, I can get past after waiting a minute. |

Whenever I try to open dungeon runners though it will get past the plaync launcher and start to load up a window with the name Win32Window or somwthin like that. Then I'll get the error message indicated in the screenshot and my program will crash. The error message tells me to try something, but I don't know how to go around doing it. |

The error is telling you to add Pipeline=VFPF under the display settings in your user config (user.cfg) file. I'd recommend you try this. What graphics card are you using? |

I don't know how to add that, can you walk me though it or point me in a direction that will? Also I'd hate to sound newb-tastic...but how can I find out what graphics card I'm using? Lol I swear I'm not computer illiterate, just ironically enough you found the couple of things I don't really know how to do. |

Find the user.cfg file in your Dungeon Runners file. Open the file with WordPad (usually defaults to that) You should see [Display] at the top of the file. Add the line Pipeline = VFPF directly under [Display]. Save the file. |

I found the User.cfg but when I opened it there was nothing, which made sense because its size was 0kb. There is a default.cfg with a [Display] section, so i'll play with that some more. |

I believe user.cfg is created when you modify your in-game settings. By doing so, you essentially create a custom config file in lieu of the default config file. |

Yeah that does make sense now that you say that, but how come the error message is telling me to change something that couldn't exist yet? Note that I haven't ever been able to even get to the main menu, this terminal error occured when I started it up for the first time. |
