Is it possible to make more than 1 character?

I am a member if that changes things.

And here's a short answer for your convinience:

Currently, as a member you get one character with the membership benefits, you may however create a couple of free accounts if you wish to have more characters.

Eventually we may have more than one slot per account but it's a waiting game.
