Does divine ascendancy's bonus damage apply to a weapon that has some divine damage on it?

Since I use soul rend, divine ascendancy looks somewhat interesting to me anyway, but with only 7 slots it seems to barely miss the cut. However, if the bonus damage also gets applied with every swing of a weapon that has some divine damage on it (which I am using anyway bc its my best weapon), then this will find a place on my bar, at least for boss farming.

I'm not sure, but it seems like it would. I also use SR and keep my Divine Ascendancy level up; it seems worth it, I definitely kill things a lot faster.

I've never really used SR, because I was too busy hacking and butch and cleave seemed like enough. I did add SR to my LMB for grins and giggles but saw my mana drop like a rock. Is it really any good?

I haven't used it for a while since I've been fighting stuff 5+ lvls above me, but when I used it, yeah. Hit someone once, see them turn greenish, go hit someone else while the first monster dies. The one second refresh time is also really nice - half the time I waste my butcher because the monster isn't close enough, or I end up using it as the final blow on a monster that's dying, and waste half of it. Whereas, with SR, who cares? You'll have another in a couple more swings of your sword anyway.

I have SR on my LMB and Butcher on my RMB. In long boss fights Soul Rend + Devine Ascendency is awesome. But the key is to not use you LMB as your main attack, as SR is a DoT attack and only has a 1 second cooldown. If you use SR as your main attack, you waste a ton of mana.

hmm, I have butcher on LMB and cleave on RMB - I'll have to play with it. Thanks for the ideas:)

SR used as the first attack on a mob (if butcher is unavailable) is quite good. Granted, sometimes you one-hit a mob and its wasted, but sometimes they start to run away and die on their own from the SR. It saves time. Its particularly nice in groups when things have more HP, and against strong bosses or the annoying mobs that heal.

It also eats mana, particularly if leveled decently, and must be used selectively.

My sword has +24 divine damage, so I'm hopefully that the divine ascendance will make that 124 per swing (at lvl 3 of DA). If not, I will probably not use DA, but I'll still use SR.

SR is on my left button, butcher on the right, and cleave is number 1. (I actually think I'm switching SR and butcher since I like to use left button as my default, and using SR as default eats too much mana.)

If click-to-move was disabled, I would likely change as well. But I'm often a klutz and I get annoyed when I miss click my target and move my character by mistake, so I kept my default attack (Butcher) as the RMB. :p

Oh, and Cleave at Hotkey #1 is a very nice choice. :D
